People that have a shitload of money usually buy jewelry as Christmas, birthday, & anniversary gifts.

They also buy jewelry instead of saying, "I'm sorry."

How are you going to buy an 8 million dollar ring without an independent appraisal. WTF Drew? Gotta be smarter than that.

It kinda seems that way, but he’s worth a lot of money and I’m sure he has lawyers that know exactly what they’re doing.

I read an article on this. I'm no lawyer, but breed is one dumb frick. Not only for buying, but for believing the jeweler is responsible for future value! He better have something in writing where the jeweler defrauded him intentionally. But seeking a diamond for more than its appraised cakey is EXACTLY what diamond dealers do!

So, imo, unless the dealer lied about the 3 "C's" and did so in writing, breed is wasting his time. In my mind I'm comparing this to an art collector...if you buy a Monet for 10 million willingly, yet 10 years later it hasn't appreciated, and maybe dropped in value...you can't sure the auction house where you bought it because you're disappointed in how you spent your money.

I'm guessing that something happened and an insurance company will only pay him the appraised amount.

quote:

But Moradi's high-powered attorney, Eric M. George, says Brees shouldn't be pointing the finger at Moradi ... he can only blame himself.

"Drew Brees aggressively purchased multi-million dollar pieces of jewelry. Years later, claiming to suffer ‘cash flow problems,’ he tried to bully my client into undoing the transactions."

"Mr. Brees’s behavior and his belief that he was wronged because the jewelry did not appreciate in value as quickly as he hoped both demonstrate a lack of integrity and contradict basic principles of both economics and the law."

"He should restrict his game-playing to the football field, and refrain from bullying honest, hard-working businessmen like my client."

Sounds like Brees tried selling some pieces back to him and like ANY smart retailer would do, he offered him less than the original retail price.

Brees is wasting his time and money

Drew should know better. Some of those same guys are on Canal Street in N.O. Perhaps even related. Some have come to me for legal work. Best thing about them? They pay cash. lol

Stating vrees claimed cash flow problems should tell you that Brees was trying to sell stuff back. Why else would vrees tell him that?
