I don’t have to look to my entertainment for self-assurance or validation of my beliefs. I like players who are active in the community, but there’s a trade off, which I’ve always been aware of, in that I know they aren’t likely to match my political or social views.

I understand what you are saying, but for decades the Left has been ranting and raving and looting and burning. It's not a bad thing to see the Right counter with speaking out and restrained actions such as directing their disposable income towards other free time pursuits.
