Nothing they said is wrong. And Carr is not a good QB. I have bad news for you.
He’s not the best qb out there but he’s definitely in the top half of the league. You just don’t know football if you disagree with that.

Carr is not that much of an upgrade from Dalton at this point in their careers
This has to be the stupidest take I’ve read on here in awhile. And I said last off-season that Dalton was much better than Winston and would be replacing him after 4 or 5 games. And everybody and their momma argued that a hurt Winston was still better than Dalton and Dalton was journeyman trash.
And now Dalton is as good as Carr????

Bruh Dalton was the worst QB in the NFL. I hated watching that dude lol. But Winston still here tho which I mean is also crazy. Why have him if you are just gonna replace him with the 3rd QB if Carr goes down?

Saints pulled a win oit of their arse week one and then didn't exactly dominate against an inferior team with a rookie qb.
Even as banged up as we were last year, the Saints were a far superior unit than Atlanta talent-wise. I feel that Smith did more with less, and that his willingness to be aggressive and non-traditional is a key characteristic of winners. It also helps that he's an alpha, while Allen is very clearly not an alpha.

Another idiotic take. How do you end up with a qb rating in the top ten of the entire league being the worst qb ?

For +370 you get the best QB in the division (might be immediately, but will be the best by year 2 guaranteed)

Granted, I didn’t listen to this. But he’s a huge Boston guy. I think, like a lot of media guys, they think the leagues are best when the stars and best teams are in the bigger markets where the spotlight is on him. He’s a bigger basketball guy than anything, and I think he hates to see guys like Zion and AD before him be “wasted” on small market clubs that don’t realistically—in his view, anyway—have a legitimate shot to compete. I don’t think he hates New Orleans, specifically.
That said, I don’t listen to his sports takes. I got turned off by ESPN trying to shove him down our throats that year or 2. But he’s a really good podcaster, and his best work is when he’s interviewing celebrities or talking about pop culture. Specifically “The Rewatchables.” That may be my favorite podcast of all time. He’s really got a good sense of humor and is a pretty likable guy. Which kind of surprised me.

You’re only as good as your last season and their 2022 performance was pretty similar and Dalton was working with a lot less.

Not me. I was probably THE Winston hater on this forum and still am.

I mean... who is better in the south?
This is also the same division and similar conditions that produced two Super Bowl contenders in the Panthers and the Falcons. I want to say one of those years followed a season where the NFC-S was the absolute worst division in football. Who knows? Every team in the NFL is filled with talented guys; the main separator is the coaching and luck throughout the season. That's one of the amazing things about football to me is the absolute roulette wheel that a season can be, yet you have some teams that always seem to guess wrong.
NFC South is facinating; you've had what feels like an inverse relationship between regular season winning percentage and Super Bowl appearances and wins (in the last 20 years anyway). This division is one of the biggest outliers in the entire League.

Proof is in the pudding buddy. I was one of the very few last year that said Dalton was better than Winston when the season started. Argued all season about it. Guess what, I was right.
All three QBs were free agents this year. Guess who got paid the most, Carr, guess who got the 2nd most with a chance to start, Dalton (but doesn’t make even half of what Carr got paid). Guess who got paid the least out of the three with a zero chance to start? Winston.
So I’d say NFL gm’s also agree with what I said. They market backs up exactly what I said….

Both teams had highly drafted QBs that won mvps. Panthers have a high pick at qb, but he is small. He is good, but remains to be seen if he can take hits and stay healthy.

Who’s he gonna throw to? They have no one, they traded their best weapon, and they also traded all of their 2024 draft capital. They have no easy path to getting a real legit pass catching option for the next few seasons.

That ATL's RB heavy scheme is a smart "zig" while most every other team is "zagging" and that it will translate very well record wise.

Means absolutely nothing, lil guy. I hated Winston too, so why you parade around here acting like you're the only one who did is mind-numbingly stupid.

Also means absolutely nothing considering the contract history of NFL GM's paying bad contracts every single year.
Lil guy. "Buddy."

Lil guy, weren't you creaming yourself over Jarvis Landry last year until I gave you a reality check?
People can't stand it.

It’s not that we are any good it’s that’s that everyone else is in a complete rebuild and sucks. It’s a win win. We make playoffs or DA gets fired. Win either way
