Somebody talk me out of dropping a bunch on Saints money line to beat the Failcons week 1. I just don't see any way we lose to the dirty birds week 1. Can't imagine either Mariotta or Desmond Ridder leading that offense over us, especially in the first game of the season. Am I not seeing the forest thru the trees or should I dump a couple weeks pay on the game?

Edit: Sorry, mixed up Desmond Ridder and Malik Willis. Maybe a good sign I shouldn't be betting

I would say don't bet on games when you don't know who the players are you'll be going against.

The unforeseen risks you have w betting on week 1 games is how will personnel/coaching changes affect the game plan. Rivalry games are usually very close. Rust factor (Winston had 1 series all preseason, who will play LT, starting oline hasn’t played together all season…)
And you aren’t betting win or loss, you’re betting Saints will win by ###(don’t know the spread and don’t care to look)

Money line----You are betting win vs lose.

The money line will show an odd like -110 which means he has to bet $110 to win $100.

I know I'm betting on the Falcons to cover the spread so no way I'm touching Saints money line.

The Saints have to win by 7+ to cover and thus us a division game in Atlanta. Mariota isn't a slouch. He can run. Saints defense is not the same as last year and we have questions about how Dennis Allen will do, the offensive line, and Winston has 1 series of play in preseason. There will be rust from the Saints. Good luck

Taking the Falcons and the points is the best bet, IMHO.

The Saints history of winning season openers is not great.

Why? Your logic is solid and the Saints D will be so dominant it is like Malik Willis won't even be on the field, like at all. You should totally go all in, every bit of savings, any other cash you have, mortgage the house, and put up the dog if you can. YOLO and shite.

Currently the Saints are -225 on the ML. There is no value there

Because it’s a shitty bet at -225. Just bet the spread if you are so confident

This is not the same team. We are being over hyped. Bet on Atlanta and then take Tampa in week 2.

My point exactly. He was asking why he shouldn’t… sorry I should have clarified that big dogs can win in week 1.

Yeah I’m seeing Saints -240. That’s 100 bet wins 41.66. Pass. Might be worth including in a parlay but that’s about it.

I’m betting on ATL.

That way I’ll be happy with either result.
