Its Bad Take Week at MMQB and all of the writers are throwing up some unpopular opinions and Albert Breer's seems to be that the Super Bowl should be held in New Orleans every season.

quote:

But I want the Super Bowl in New Orleans every year. America wants the Super Bowl in New Orleans every year. We deserve the Super Bowl in New Orleans every year.
And to make this happen, concessions must be made. So I’m calling on the federal government—that’s right, the federal government—to make this happen. Build New Orleans a palace. The kind of palace that won’t be outdated in 10 years. The kind of palace that’ll keep the Saints there for good.
The kind of palace that’ll ensure that the Super Bowl is always in NOLA. And that the Final Four and College Football Playoff are always there, too. Hell, throw in the combine, the draft and the Oscars.

Seconded. Except the Oscars LA can keep those. We could host the AVN's however.

New Orleans probably doesn’t deserve to host ANY Superbowls, much less all of them.

That is an opinion that is in a very very small minority. Everyone from players to media members love having the Super Bowl in NOLA and Miami. Would love to hear your take on why NOLA doesn't deserve "ANY"...

You’re probably just going to get some dumbass comment about ‘culcha’ and something about the lights going out on the ravens and 9ers

I like having national events in the City. Its lit when the Super Bowl and the Final Four are in town. And the more money going into the City the better.

Journalists/press would LOVE it if that happened because downtown hotels are within walking distance of the Dome.

The NFL seems to be awarding SBs and evidently SB appearances to cities and teams that build new stadiums. That seems to be the carrot on the stick for city governments to pony up the costs, so it’ll never happen, at least not with Goodell in charge.

It seemed like in the 80's and 90's New Orleans would get a huge cleansing every 4yrs in preparation for the Super Bowl;

I don't think a single superbowl host can clean the filth that has been building lately.

The only people who don’t want the SB in Nola every year live in BR/North Louisiana and Atlanta. Everyone has a blast when they come down here, imagine how miserable the last two Super Bowls in Minnesota and Atlanta must have been.

What are you talking about? They have been breaking up tent cities and repairing streets. Not saying the city is pristine, but it's in better shape now than it has been for much of recent history

I love when SB's come to town, but this sort of set the city back when it comes to hosting another one.

The city is definitely being punished by the league in terms of getting another one.
