Shockey was a steady vet
Graham was a mismatch nightmare

And then the Era of fleener and cook where all the athleticism and inconsistency leads us to poorly timed losses.

If trautman is it, so he it but we need to shore up that position and a speedy receiver

Let's see if we can develop a TE we have drafted. We've tried too often to use FA for a TE and it's been a disaster.

He was actually pretty up and down as a Saint.

Graham is the only one who really lit the world on fire at the position.

Did you forget about Ben Watson? Had some stellar years while here.

Most tight ends are closer to Cook than Gronk, Graham, Kittle, and Kelce

I think we cut Cook and find a good blocking tight end.

Dan Arnold and Jared cook have both made / didn’t make plays that have ended up being major factors in two playoff games. I can only pray trautman is the answer. Cook isn’t.

Watson had one standout year, but those were the "7-9" years. He did come back for a year we all don't wanna talk about tho.

Overall it was not a good signing, he was signed to make plays in these games

You'd think that the person in charge of pro player evaluation and acquisition in the Front Office would be able to fix this problem after five years, but, I guess not.

Yeah, I mean big picture the game and we lost because of Brees's limitations, but even given those - Cook does not let the ball get popped loose Saint very likely go in for a score and Saints have all the momentum and very likely win that game.

Not to mention on one of the early drives where we settled for a field goal he could not pull in a pass that would have kept the drive going that I would not necessarily call a drop but I do not think it unreasonable to expect and NFL athlete of his abilities to have caught, he's actually caught tougher.

Dude, we couldn't even keep him in the game on the gadget play because Sean doubted he could throw it as far as we needed.

I love the dude but we were limited in what we could do because of his arm strength issues and Tampa game planned accordingly. In fact it's amazing we managed what we did offensively, and that's a credit to Drew - finding ways around his limitations...which are and were apparent to everyone.

We should have cut cook after the KC game when he ran the worst route in saints history and then had to be consoled by half the coaching staff on the bench. Then he puts a fricking towel on his head and is like making Drew apologize to him for being lazy as frick and getting his route undercut? Holy shite. The guy is a physical specimen and was literally on the verge of tears 2 of the last 4 games of the season. Hopefully his flights out of MSY leaves on time
