3 of the past 4 years, the player we picked in the second round was panned on this board. Now, I would argue that Erik McCoy, Pete Werner and Alonte Taylor are three of the most vital members of our team.

I guess it pays to have real scouts, rather than message board heroes.

I loved the McCoy pick. That’s who I wanted when he kept floating down. Dude bulldozed LSU his last year. Thought Werner was a round too early. Wanted Boogie Bashsm in that spot. And wanted Brister the safety but he went one pick in front of us this year. There would have been no need to sign honey Badger if he was the pick.
Werner has been better than I thought. But I wanted to resign Kwon who was a perfect fit for our D. No need to really waste a high pick for another backer.

Werner is head and shoulders (even without pads) the better LB between he and Kwon.

He’s better, but is he better than Kwon and whatever you could have drafted with that 2nd.
We had an elite defense the 2 years Kwon was on the team. Remember he was hurt that playoff game when LF7 killed us brees last year.

PFF has Werner rated 69 this year and Kwon a 63 for what it’s worth.

Werner is the perfect fit. He is ten times better than kwon. On top of that he is a much healthier player.

Werner has the coverage skills of a safety in a linebacker's body.

Pete werner was a safety when he arrived at ohio state.

The only pick I didn't like was Taylor.

You people are obsessed with this team "missing on draft picks" when in reality we nail more draft picks than 90% of teams in the NFL

In 4/8 games Kwon has played less than half the defensive snaps for the Jets. He’s a rotational LB. Werner hasn’t left the field

PFF shouldn't be constantly be used a dead gum measuring stick though.

Werner has been the leading tackler for us. Man the other night when we were playing the Cardinals and he was in the medical tent I thought to myself that's one of the few guys we could afford to lose on that side of the ball.

You know?

I'd have to spend another 2nd rounder on a LBer because Kwon is injury prone, and I love Kwon.

Kwon is also not a 3-down LBer anymore. CJ Mosley is that DUDE for them. Kwon is not.

There are no teams that hit on every pick, even if you just look at like first, second, third round. People are always like ZACK BAUN!!! PAYTON TURNER!! CESAR RUIZ!!

Every single team has a list like that. MOST teams have lists way bigger than us if you look at 2016-2022. It's ludicrous.
