I’ve given him lots of well deserved heat, but he played a heck of a game tonight.
Great Win.

He was damn near perfect. Love the passing from him tonight

He’s been very good in several games in a row now.

Zions defense has been average for an nba player, which is awesome and all that is expected of him, and is making a huge huge huge difference.
Last 7 games we’ve held 6 of our opponents to under 106 points, the one being the Lakers at 109 when we beat them by 20.
The previous 28 games to start the season we did that a total of 6 times, and lost 4 of those games when we did it b/c those teams scored 104 or 105.
We have the 5th best net rating in the league in the last 12 games since the Lakers IST

He's playing better because he's still getting into shape. I think that he's 90-95% of the way there.

Zion was flying around on defense with 10 points in a blowout win last night. Dude has been awesome.

He gets to 20 quickly to me. I mean I know he’s driving a lot but it just seems like before you know it he’s racking up 20+ most nights.

That block on Ant brought back MVP Zion memories from last season. Hes getting there, if not basically back to last years play.

Think this was his best overall game of the season. This was Elite Zion.

active on defense as well.

We all know how talented he is. Engaged Zion will almost always be Elite Zion

He's played VERY VERY well lately. I completely get the hate he gets at times, but with the way he's playing lately, we can go very far. Let's back this guy.

Scary part is he'll be in even better shape and conditioning in March/April.

he played damn near the entire 3rd quarter.

I’ve noticed a major difference in effort on both sides of the court ever since that pitiful performance against the Lakers during the in season tournament. You can also see he is getting into much better shape because he can sustain a high level of quickness and hops for significantly longer.

There's really not a single guy that's in the regular rotation that I would say has been playing badly during this run we've been on.
Zion is averaging 22, 7, and 4 on 61% from the field
BI is averaging 23, 4, and 6 on 53% from the field (and 49% from three)
CJ averaging 20, 4, and 5 on 49% from the field (and 50% from three)
Jonas averaging 14 and 11 on 60% from the field
Herb 8, 3, and 2 on 40% from the field, but 37% from three
If I was being picky I would say we're starting to see Naji come back down to earth, prior to this run he was averaging 9 pts, 5 rbs, and 2 asts on 46% from the field and 42% from three, but on the run he's averaging 7 pts, 3 rbs, and 2 asts on 43% from the field and 31% from three. And Dyson is only averaging 4 pts, but he's playing great defense and unlike early in the season he's at least been respectable when he does shoot.
and then obviously there's the Trey and Jose factor. Trey was averaging 14 pts on 48% from the field and 45% from three. I would say we'll eventually see the starters come back down to earth a bit in terms of their percentages, but having Trey is an important factor to working off that.

Is Zion Shaq and we're all Kobe? Are we just going to have to accept that he will take the off-season off and take 1/4 to 1/3 of the season to get into shape each year? This is not me knocking him...just asking a legit question of what our expectations should be.
I've never seen anyone hit the deck as much as he does. That isn't from not being athletic, but from him attacking the basket and getting doubled and tripled at the rim (and somehow the shot still goes down most of the time). But he ends up on the ground a lot. It's gotta be hell on his body.

Stats don’t really tell the story about
Naji. It’s the timeliness of his contributions that affect the game.
