He’s also our enforcer.

He's overcoming the lack of calls. Glad Willie got the tech for the no-calls. It needed to be done. It appeared to me that Zion became frustrated and lost motivation to play hard in our biggest games this year.

He was pumped to play the Lakers and did not get one call his way while watching Lebron get all of them. That'll take you out of the game. I hope the refs get their sht together and call it fair here on out.

Is Zion Shaq and we're all Kobe? Are we just going to have to accept that he will take the off-season off and take 1/4 to 1/3 of the season to get into shape each year? This is not me knocking him...just asking a legit question of what our expectations should be.

I kinda like this comparison, though the only issue I'd say...

Shaq either brought it every night in shape or not, or he and his team was good enough to coast in the regular season to then turn it on in the playoffs.

We aren't that team yet, so we do need Zion to turn it on virtually every night in the regular season. If the stars aligned and we are a legit top 3 seed the next 3 seasons and competing for titles, I would have wayyyyy less issues with Zion taking entire games off on defense and not being in the best shape in the regular season.

And just 1 other disclaimer to say, Zion has shown a lot more hustle and trying on defense as of late. Not perfect, but so much better than pre IST.

Real question is Willie Green the new Phil Jackson (joking of course)?
