Same thing happened with Griff a few years ago with him chasing CP3 and Lowery and I said it was freaking idiotic at the time. He should have been chasing someone younger thst might break out.

I wouldn’t have minded cp3. Lowry made no sense

Same, if we could get like Smart, Santi, conchar and a 1st for BI I’d be all over that.
Then try to flip smart for an expiring and some 2nds

Meh, I don’t know. I just think the failures stick out much more. For example, no one is saying Durant was not worth it per se.
And as an aside, I really think Beal is just the whipping boy for a Suns fan base frustration. Don’t get me wrong, his contract is huge and I don’t want it. The issue has partly been his injuries, but look at his numbers. Last year he was 51% FG and 43% from three. His “struggling” this year is 48% FG and 39.2% from three. This is a situation where a contract has people pretending like a player is a bad player.

If tweet fails to load, click here. This would probably need to be a 4 team trade to make all the money work.

Yes please give me all the assets

How about:
Pels: get Smart, Clarke, Memphis '25 first with top 10 protection
Heat: get Ingram, Kennard
Grizzlies: get Butler

I'm saying it. I said it at the time too.
Brooklyn straight up raped Phoenix.
Would you rather old arse KD who hasn't won shite in Phoenix with Booker and Beal...or
Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Jae Crowder, four unprotected first-round draft picks (2023, 2025, 2027, and 2029), and a 2028 pick swap
Give me the Brooklyn haul all day every day

And now after saying he would happy to be traded anyplace, Butler stating that he does not want to go to Memphis. What a douchebag.

Sounds like he is nuking anything but Phoenix…but Miami is insisting they won’t take Beal back.

Problem is Brooklyn traded away all those Suns picks to get their own back from Houston

This is getting hilarious. I'm pretty sure he's still only entertaining phoenix at this point. But it ain't happening without Beal's cooperation.

Going to be tough to find a third team to take that contract, and Suns don’t have draft capital.

Pretty sure Phoenix is stuck with Beal.
No one he wants to play for will give up anything for him.

Pelicans Receive - Dillon Brooks, Jeff Green, Cam Whitemore.
Last night, Cam Whitmore had some bad body language for the Rockets. Looks to be unhappy in his current situation. As much as i would like Jabari Smith or Reed Shepherd, Rockets aren't letting them go. Cam Whitmore could be a nice long term piece in New Orleans and this trade gets Pelicans under the Lottery Tax.
Houston Receive - Jimmy Butler, Daniel Thies
Sounds like Jimmy Butler would be happy going to Houston. Houston can give him a 2 year extension which would end by the time they need to pay Jabari Smith and Amen Thompson. Jimmy Butler gives them someone that could give them a legitimate shot at contending in the west. VanVleet, Sheppard, Green, Butler, Thompson, Smith Jr., Eason, Sengun is a very good top 8.
Heat Receive - Brandon Ingram, Steven Adams
Heat get Brandon Ingram and can either decide to keep him longterm, or let his contract expire so they can sign a big time free agent. Ingram and Adams combine for 48 mil of expiring contracts.

I wouldn't mind Whitmore, but I don't want Dillon Brooks asshat attitude on this team, nor do I want that contract of 2 more years at $20M each. He's a negative asset in my book, and if I were taking him on with Whitmore for BI, then I'd want at least 2 1sts as well.

Brooks has to be included in a Jimmy Buter trade for the Rockets.
Having Brooks and CJ's contracts gives you ammunition to go after a 50mil + superstar trade (Durant, Booker, Embiid, Paul George). I don't think having an a-hole on the team is the worst thing either, plus he's shooting a career high 39% from 3 this year, would be a good depth piece.

I don't either, but not him. What he does is not worth anywhere near $20M/yr.
There's a difference between having an a-hole that the team has a hard time standing behind b/c he's unlikeable to everyone, and having a dog that has his teammates back no matter what like Naji. I'd rather 2 Naji's than Brooks.

I hear you, but at end of the day to get a trade done sometimes you have to take something bad back to get something good. I would rather this trade then BI just walking in offseason.
