Noooo, no he does not

Would expect Sixers to move Gordon and Drummond next. This might allow them to keep Yabusele and use the MLE for him. Outside shot that Paul George gets moved.

If we are getting a pick and expiring contracts back, then it’s worth it.
I'd love to see Ingram to Toronto for Boucher, Brown and a first-round pick.

George looks cooked, might be one of the most untradeable contracts in the league now.

Right but Barrett has multiple years left. His deal is not good at all.
We don’t need to take RJ back.
If Toronto is actually interested, then they want to win games.
They can take Ingram and Theis or JRE, and send the Pels Bruce Brown and Chris Boucher along with a First maybe more.
This keeps both teams out of the tax and keeps Toronto in roster compliance since they would have an extra roster spot open.
Now we could also do this deal by taking Olinyk back instead of Boucher. His money would still be on the books next year, but it would give us another option at the 5 who can space the court.

I’m on the opposite end, give me Barrett. He gives you Ingram’s production for 25 million a year.

Great minds think alike.

Brown and Boucher or Olynyk (1 year left) plus a pick is fine with me. Getting a positive asset for BI at this point would be more than I expect

I forgot who said it, but one of the beat writers said RJ was involved in the talks and likely to be sent out in the trade if it were to happen.
They also said Toronto should wait until the offseason and work a sign and trade instead

Hmmm, interesting.
We have Cain already here who didn’t play last night. Could signify something incoming

I mean Herb has always been out. No need to bring someone in because of him.
Of course they could just be doing it to do it

Yeah, I’m trying to think of someone at the guard spot that could be involved in a trade.
We did get someone saying earlier in the week that we had a deal worked out with Detroit to duck the tax, Hawk going out maybe? That would create a need to bring in another guard until we can get the new one incorporated.
Something else to consider is Green going out, hopefully with Ingram.
Something like this would be beneficial for everyone I would think:
Pels: Podz, Collins, JHS
Warriors: Ingram, Theis, Green
Utah: Wiggins, GP3
Detroit: Schroeder, whatever pick(s) GS needs to send
This gets Pels and Warriors out of the tax, gets GS far enough under where they can sign someone on the buyout market and still stay under.

If turning BI into cheaper deals (taking us under the tax) and a first is what we get, it is better than letting him walk for nothing.
We have to make moves to limp just under the tax and BI is not in our future plans. We could have gotten more for him at one point but Griff screwed the pooch on it since we are now down to the final days and there isn’t much of a market.

I don’t want RJ. Another stat padding loser player
Posted on 2/4/25 at 3:49 pm to ghost2most
I was saying that I was willing to take the two expiring and a first if it got us under the tax and we didn’t have better offers.
I don’t want to be in the BI business this offseason because Griff couldn’t fricking move him last offseason when he should have.

I think the closer we get to the deadline it increases the likelihood of either a small deal, or Pels being a part of a Butler Megatrade

What are we, 7 years running where everyone is expecting us to be the 4th team in some megatrade?
