I’m just following the rules of the OP, I think you’re pretty insane if you would pass up that deal. It’s completely hypothetical and non-realistic, but in that world you have to take that deal.

That makes the entire hypothetical pointless. You’d trade Zion for Richard Simmons if it guaranteed a title.
Some people apparently wouldn’t

Also I just learned that Richard Simmons is from Nola and isn’t openly gay.

I don’t like the appeal of guaranteed rings. I like the grind. I like the unexpected. I like the feeling of oh shite, we just had to play A plus balls to the wall ball to win this game. Or damn, remember when BI couldn’t score a basket in the last 5 minutes, and now he has us in Game 7 of the Conference Finals?

KD just makes it too easy. It shortens the journey, but it also Cheapens it.

BI wants to be here. I know things are good right now. But we can’t take that type of loyalty for granted. He wanted to be here, even when things weren’t going the right way.

I wouldn’t trade 24 year old BI who wants to be here for prime Lebron or MJ. I want to be in the Fox hole with BI. I think if we stick with him. He could be our franchise’s Dirk.

We really have enough talent to get this done naturally if we develop and stay healthy.

Of course he wouldnt.

He would never come here. He is 34. Great player but very unlikable.

No just because KD is a little bitch who gets his feelings hurt and cries about it. BI is younger and he’s pretty damn good in his own right.

I would trade BI for Greivas Vasquez if it means we win a championship.

I like BI, but this is a dumb thread. I wouldn’t trade him for KD without any other assumptions though.

This was actually talked about on NBA radio two days ago.

Amin was asked who would be a feasible destination for KD where he could win a championship, meaning a team that would have the young assets to send Brooklyn for a rebuild but still have key pieces left over to win a championship.

Talked about the Heat, the Blazers, then the Pelicans.
Said it didn't matter if they sent BI or Zion, but he said if he were the Pels he'd rather keep BI. Said they would be a scary good team KD/BI/Herb/CJ. Asked him if he thought they'd be the favorites if that happened and he said not the favorite, but one of the favorites.

I mean i'd expect to be a title contender as long as KD is healthy for the playoffs for the next 3 years easily.
But even saying that, i still would rather try and do it with Zion and BI.

This - it would be a bad long term move and doubt KD would guarantee a finals playoff appearance let alone championship

If I had some sort of guarantee I'd be getting a stable KD, I absolutely would. I love BI, but you don't pass on Kevin Durant. But I just don't trust the guy. I feel like he would be making waves after one season if we didn't compete for a title.

Of course I'd do it for a title. I just don't like KD as a person and that wouldn't change. It'd be so weird.

KD is 34, has had MAJOR injuries, has a dogshit attitude, and is starting to really show signs of age.

He's got maybe 2 years left and then its decline.

I'd trade a bunch of picks but no player of any import.

Mate I'm your biggest supporter but I say no on trading either Zion or Slim Jr for Slim Sr.

1. Slim senior doesn't want to be here
2. He's old and weird AF and probably a closeted homosexual
3. I'm not even sure he's that good anymore

I don’t disagree. I only proposed a guaranteed ship to make it a interesting convo
