The trio of Griffin, Langdon and Green is aligned contractually, meaning that the expectation is that the Pelicans continue moving forward with much of the same power structure that has been in place over the last three years.

While the BI/Zion/CJ fit concerns seem very real and very unlikely to be addressed, the 2 biggest complaints about Willie, his center rotation and playing Naji too much, are simple fixes with some roster moves.

Executive vice president of basketball operations David Griffin and general manager Trajan Langdon also received contract extensions in 2023. The Times-Picayune was not able to confirm when those contracts expire.

This is exceptionally hilarious

I’m pretty sure the Griff extension was announced prior to the season last year

The sooner we realize the front office is coming back and our best 3 players are all returning too, the sooner we can begin to heal.

Even if it wasn't done recently, I'm trying to figure out at what point was Willie doing so great at his job that we felt it necessary to give him an extension...

I’m going to guess it happened in December 2022 (since the Nola.com article says it happened last year), when Zion was playing like a beast and we were at or near the top of the West. If it happened any other time, it makes even less sense.

Or save our money and tell the organization to go to hell.

I'm okay with not making a blockbuster trade because you need to see what this trio can do together before you decide yes/no.

But dating back to last year, we all knew what kind of big man we were missing. Not going for gafford was hilariously bad.

Good teams have done that - kept their core or changed it when it didn't fix.

However all of the added the necessary role players.

Boston did it.
Denver did it.
Milwaukee did it.
Philadelphia did it.

We'll have to see what happens this postseason, but if the team doesn't make the playoffs, then I would be confident that BI is gone.

If we get the 7 or 8 seed, I just don't see it happening.

Losing the next 2 is the only way I'll think there's a chance one of our top 3 dudes is moved(BI is the obvious oft he 3) and even then, i'm not 100% convinced it would happen.

sadly this has become pleasing the old lady . Not winning. She rather be watching PBS or at Metairie Country Club then at a basketball game.

You shouldn't be confident in that under any circumstances

Honestly my hope is BI sees hes not number one here and prefers to go elsewhere- like cleveland- if Mitchell is gone.
