Niko and Jackson + 2 first for just Beal is too much.
Has to be Sato and Beal.

That's part of it. First of all, if you had Jrue-Beal-AD and you had the choice of Randle or Niko, Niko is the better fit next to those three by a mile.
Beyond that, having Nikos bird Rights means they can keep him this offseaon. Very possible Randle could walk. So if you trade them Niko, you might in actually be trading both guys away
What Pels need to do is find a third team that would give up value for Randle and send that over to Wash and keep Niko

Doesn't Dallas have interest in Randle? What if they send DSJ and Wes Matthews to Washington? A young asset and a big expiring.

Niko is an ideal fit to AD. Age appropriate too.
Got to find a way to keep him.
I think if it comes down to it, you eventually have to pull the trigger on including Niko, but must explore all options to not

so throw them hill and take back morris and someone else.
that way if randle does leave you still have an NBA forward

Washington would only take Hill if they are all in on a total rebuild. They very likely want to try a retool first. Tank for a high lotto pick this year, then combine Porter and picks they get from a Beal trade to go after a star player.

I couldn't disagree with that statement more. If I had to come up with an "ideal" fit next to AD, he would look nothing like Randle.
Beyond that, add two more higher usage guys like Beal and Jrue into the equation, and Randle checks off none of the boxes I want next to those three.

Yes and if the main point in obtaining Beal is a last ditch attempt to convince AD to sign then they need to show him they are set up for future success. Let’s say they go on a run with Beal and Randle but then the summer comes and lose Randle. Davis may then think that their “run” is not sustainable in the long term because of losing a key piece in his mind.

Who said he was?

I think that trade is really fair for everyone. But I have no idea if Dallas wants Randle and will pay him this summer. But if they are fans, I see that as a good trade for everyone

And I still don't think it is. I don't know why anybody would give up real value for him. And thats what is holding this all up. If Randle had Bird Rights, I think a deal for Beal or Porter would already be done.

I think Beal has two years left on his contract after this season correct? I'm sure Wizards would prefer Niko for obvious reasons. If I'm the pels I am rolling the dice and making this happen. First it gives you a big three to sell AD this summer. If it still isnt enough for him to stay I feel it wouldnt be quite as deflating If we say to ourselves well we have Beal and Jrue in their primes and what we get for Ad we should still be a relevant franchise. If Ad wants to leave we could even trade him for a veteran and say lets pair him with the other two with a couple first round picks back.

I would bet that if push comes to shove the Pels will do it. But you try to make them take Randle or try to find a third team first. Jrue-Beal-Niko-AD is just too nice of a fit to not work on whatever angles you can to keep that foursome in place
Posted on 1/7/19 at 6:14 pm to Crewz
Crewz.... If we did have Jrue, Niko, and Beal going forward what do you think the odds are Davis resigns? I think it would jump to 50/50 or even 60/40 he does. As constructed now I think its less than 10 percent.
Posted on 1/7/19 at 6:14 pm to Crewz
Didn't you make the argument earlier this year that Morris gives you most of what Niko does? If they get him back in the deal do you feel better about it?
Posted on 1/7/19 at 6:17 pm to LesGeaux45
Morris is out for awhile with a neck injury
Posted on 1/7/19 at 6:18 pm to Soggymoss
Welp that figures. Just talking about trading for guys puts them on the injured list
Posted on 1/7/19 at 6:24 pm to Crewz
Yeah I thought so.
A guess if they have intentions of keeping Barnes at PF and Finney-Smith at SF then maybe Dallas don't want Randle.
Randle will be cheaper than Barnes though.
