Market/Fanbase size is probably a factor, but I'm kind of disappointed the Pels fans don't rate higher. I feel like we complain about it a lot. Apparently no one is listening.

76ers fans don't complain about how the refs treat them?

Color me shocked.

The Grizzlies are the most comparable franchise to the Pelicans.... they are #6... we don't bitch like we think we do

We would break that chart if they used Tiger Droppings game thread data!

This is 100% affected by market size. Ja gets WAY more calls than Zion relative to takes near the basket.

Memphis just has less reason to bitch.

Hilarious to see the Warriors at the top.

Yeah with Joel and James flopping and twitching all game you'd think they'd bitch about not getting 50 FTs a night.

Do you have such a chart for the NFL or did Saints fans break it?

I think overall the season is going better than most Pelicans fans have come to expect, so a huge percentage of tweets from our fans have been positive.

Even an unbiased eye would agree (and data backs it up) that the saints get royally fricked quite often.

It says “percentage of fan tweets complaining about officiating”. Is that % of officiating tweets relative to total tweets about the team? Or is it % of specific teams tweets complaining relative to all teams complaining tweets?

Griz being top 10 makes me think it’s the first one.

Memphis has no reason to bitch. The “Ja whistle” is very much a thing. They ref everyone poorly but Memphis gets an advantage because the refs give Ja two free throws every time he is out of control under the basket.

Bandwagon fans complain the most, hence the chart.

But really, some of these fanbases know losing, but do they truly know the depth of despair of the Pels? To have the Basketball Gods dangle a promising season in front of you, just to rip it away? When Warriors fans don’t get every call under the sun, they go apeshit because their modern fans aren’t used to it. When a bad call goes against the Pels, it’s “ho-hum here we go again.”

we should be complaining a lot. the refs screw us more than any team in the league. Zion can get mauled every play, Jonas isn’t allowed to touch dudes on D, Jose always getting screwed.

Just have them stop by a game thread and that'll pump those numbers up

Not to get off course but while we are on the subject of complaining, does Luka ever stop complaining? I literally watched him the last couple of games and he does not shut up the whole time
