Let's hear some of your best Trade Machine recipes to fix this Pels team.

Here's mine:

NOP receive: Kelly Olynyk, Josh Richardson + a first --- lottery protected 1st (2019)/top 10 protected (2020)/top 5 protected (2021).
MIA receive: Solomon Hill + ETwuan Moore

Upgrade front court depth with a defensive banger/stretch 5 to offset Mirotic minutes and generate some more creative frontcourt lineups, while ALSO improving at the wing position MASSIVELY with JR.
Yes, it locks up extra years on contracts that seem frivolous at best, but the Pels gotta sell out to keep AD. Make some bold arse trades. Unless SH or EM is AD's best friend on the team, you flip those dudes. JR has been legit this year- total swiss army knife, young Ariza style, and he can fricking hit 3s.

Closing time lineup - Elfrid-Jrue-JR-Randle/Mirotic-Davis is a vigorous finishing five/six.

Now ask yourself, if I was the Heat, why would I ever do this? Giving away their best player for.such bad return

I love how the Pels receive the first round picks too; gotta pull out all of the stops when you can get E’Twaun Moore and Solomon Hill

1st, Miami has traded away their 2021 pick to Philly, so they could only do an unprotected 1st in 2019..

2nd, why the hell would they do this without the pick, much less with it?

Wow, overlooked that part at first. I like the trade enthusiasm though. An overview of options:

Prince (+ Bazemore, Lin or Dedmon)

Griffin (would be a fun team)

Barnes

Porter

Beal (long shot)

That seems to be the short list of players who would be a big enough of an upgrade and potentially available. Could be a surprise trade, or a smaller depth trade (Ross, Augustine). Any others y'all can think of?

I bet we make a trade for a guy we haven’t even discussed on here.

I have seen some one sided, wishful fan trades in my day but this might take the cake.

Hahaha I think the only way Miami accepts that trade if we are giving them the 1st. I like the idea of the thread. Everyone is getting excited on how the Pels can upgrade this roster! I think we go hard at Beal until he is unattainable. The only others I would consider are Porter if they take Hill.Gordon from magic would be awesome too.

The more realistic trades to me are a combo of Lin, Prince, Bazemore from ATL or Ross and Augustine from Orlando.

I keep seeing this with us giving up a first. Last night the lowly Hawks beat the Thunder. Prince played 13 minutes. Vince Carter got 15 minutes.

Now why is a young developing wing on a bad team getting less minutes than Vince Carter? Why is a bad team so willing to trade a young wing? I don’t want any part of Prince for a first.

Bembry has been starting instead of Prince as well as of late, and he did a few times earlier in the year.
I think the Hawks were trying to send a message to Prince about his lack of basketball iq, especially on the defensive end, and he hasn’t improved.

He’s still a good 1 on 1 defender and a good 3 point shooter, and he makes little money.

Bembry has been the better defender, rebounder, and someone that attacks the rim on offense. I think his shooting will eventually get to a point where he’s a good 3 point shooter, and the Hawks may think he’s the better prospect going forward.

Pretty sure he was returning from injury list, so they were probably easing him back into playing minutes.

Crewz has posted reasons why Hawks might be willing to trade him. He still would be a massive upgrade, 3&D glue-guy SF this team has been seeking. He could excel in a Robert Covington role alongside real talent in AD, Jrue, etc.

The Hawks want to see what they have in Bembry, and Prince has been limited to 15 minutes coming back from his injury.

I think the only guy that could be a target that we haven't discussed here is Mike Conley. And a guy we haven't discussed much that could be in a trade is Jeremy Lin. Other than that, if and when the Pels make a trade, I would bet its for a guy or guys we have discussed.

Didn’t realize he was coming off injury, but it’s not an either or with Bembry. They can keep and play both. It’s not like Bembry is some superstar talent that Prince is holding back either.

Basically a very bad Hawks team after 2+ years have seemingly decided Prince won’t be worth his next contract. That gives me a LOT of concern. I don’t want to burn our 1st (which could be top 10 again) and then dole out a big contract on a guy who the Hawks don’t want to build around. I don’t want to burn our first on band aid moves like Lin/Prince. That does not keep AD and aren’t appealing pieces for an AD-less Pels.

Conley is interesting. I wonder what that would take?

Randle/Moore/Wes/Miller/pick(s) for Conley/Casspi?

Gives the Grizz big time salary relief and pick(s). That salary is huge though (although not John Wall level).

Yeah probably so. I admittedly haven't watched much of Conley this year so not sure how he compares to what he's been in the past.
