But I also understand the idea of taking a swing on a guard(which we need more of) than a big wing.

That is my personal preference though which I fully admit.

I want them to pick the player they think will be better in the long run.

NBL has drastically improved in the past 5 years, with a huge influx of funding.

Agreed, and if that is Dieng, so be it. If it is Sharpe, so be it. Both have an exciting potential upside (unfortunately, that comes with a huge potential downside as well). I just keep reminding myself that this pick is like playing with house money.

People think I hate Sharpe or something. I haven't watched a single second of him play, not even a highlight video.

I'm fine with whomever the Pels pick. I wouldn't love Duren or someone similar at 8, but whatever.

It is very quiet right now. Def thought we might see a trade or two in the hours leading up to the draft.

Sources: Kevin Durant is monitoring the Brooklyn Nets’ situation and considering options with his future. This now opens the path for Kyrie Irving to proceed on finding a new home via opt-in and trade.

ESPN Sources: If Kyrie Irving can’t reach an agreement to stay with Brooklyn, he has a list of teams he’d like them to consider on sign-and-trades, including Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, Heat, Mavs and 76ers. None of those teams have cap space to sign him without Nets’ help.

Lakers and Clippers have severely limited resources. I can't see the Nets doing that.

I can't believe Brooklyn is ready to blow it up. They have to blink and give Kyrie a more guaranteed deal.

I’m so tired of these mercenary All stars that leave teams at the drop of a hat because something does go their way. I don’t want those fair weather players.

I understand leaving if there’s a bunch of extreme things happen but Harden, Irving, and Durant leave teams like no one’s business.
