Kyrie and KD are just leaking big name teams to put pressure on the Nets. It was clear from the beginning when they included the Clippers as being interested in dealing for Kyrie.

I don't even know if the Lakers can do it if the Nets would "help" them.

It would be close, but they'd basically be at the apron of (155 mil) with LeBron, AD, Kyrie, THT, and Nunn along with the roster cap holds. They would only be able to sign minimum players.

AD would get hurt then Kyrie would take off a few weeks for Winter Solstice or some shite and they'd still be fricked.

Lakers are fricked regardless IMHO.

They run it back? They are extremely bad.

They flip Westbrook, THT, and picks for other talent? Their ceiling goes up but they are still limited by AD and LeBron’s health plus potential vets and rookies filling out the roster.

I have a distinct feeling that all the ring chasers and LeBron nut huggers won’t sign cheap deals with them this year.

You didn't seen that with BI at 19, either

He was drafted 2nd overall. He wasn't a late lottery pick like Ousmane is projected.
You don't select someone 2nd overall if they didn't excel offensively in college, and BI excelled in college from 3, from the mid range, and getting to the rim.

maybe watch this and refresh your memory why he was selected 2nd overall. It's full of post ups and turn around jumpers using his length to shoot over guys, which he still does b/c he has improved at it, and it's full of him getting to the rim, on top of being a 41% 3 point shooter.
LINK
and let me know what part of this video you see Ousmane Dieng resemblance in it. I don't know if there's a single highlight of him ever posting someone up and taking a mid range shot. Yet i'm to believe he has the skill sets to become similar to BI one day?

I don’t particularly understand why they are playing hardball with Kyrie.

Yeah, he’s a little bit of a space cadet that marches to his own beat.

But it really feels like they are holding last year against him due to the Covid situation and New York having insane contradictory indoor rules that made zero sense.

But the people they should actually be blaming for last year are Harden and Simmons.

Yeah, the Nets got swept by the ECF champ, but the Nets almost won 2 of those games and likely would have if they either played a little better, Harden didn’t bail like a bitch, or Simmons didn’t refuse to play.

Just max Kyrie. Keep KD happy. Get Simmons head right.

And they are likely in the nba finals next season.

The only reason why they even have Kyrie or KD in the first place is because Kyrie grew up in Brooklyn.

To blow all that up due to vaccine silliness and Harden/Simmons being petulant children, seems a bit ridiculous.

bullshite. Harden wanted out because Kyrie was fricking around doing part time shite(remember when Wiggins didn't want to get vaxxed then he did. Worked out well) and they traded for Simmons, apparently ignoring a physical, when they had many other options. They didn't trade for Ben then he shut down, he stayed the same as he was when they got him. They traded for a lemon that had lemon written on it.

Covid is just the latest saga

Kyrie:

- can not stay healthy
- demanded a trade from Cleveland after losing the finals
- Toxified the locker room in Boston than demanded a trade
- Began to toxify the lockerroom in Brooklyn
- Got the coach fired
- Just up and left for a month and a half without telling the team
- Covid stuff
- Ran off Harden with all his bullshite, destroying the teams chance at a ring
- Shows no sign of remorse, reflection, or sense of guilt for any of his actions and they are likely to repeat once he secures his bag

Trey Murphy is on the draft red carpet interviewing guys right now. He’s legit 6’9 without shoes. He looks maybe taller than Dieng and up there with Mark Williams. Actually crazy

I refuse to blame a 30 year old athlete for not wanting to be vaccinated.

The nets could have allowed him to play road games. They decided to act all high and mighty for half a season and not do that.

Also, opposing players who were unvaccinated were allowed to play in the nets arena and unvaccinated fans were allowed to sit in the first row.

To blow up a potential dynasty over that is ludicrous and that’s what the Nets front office has been attempting to do from the start when they decided they wouldn’t let him even play road games.

Until they looked at the standings and thought they were in danger of missing the playoffs that is.

The rules are different now so they really shouldn’t let that impact an extension decision that also would impact Durant’s desire in wanting to stay in Brooklyn.

They are playing hardball for almost no reason and for no potential gain.

Except that you did. His midrange was a definite strength coming out.

I think all of that is fair, but would you honestly be willing to lose Kyrie and Durant over a few million in contract disputes?

I’d be trying to keep that championship window open as long as I could.

Their window is closed if they keep them because Kyrie will be hurt or on some new dumb shite soon enough.

Honestly,

I think a cold, sober analysis would tell me that their window is already closed.

That Brooklyn's best bet would be to use Durant and Kyrie as assets to get back some sort of major haul of draft picks and young players that they can begin the process of rebuilding with.

Rehab Ben Simmons like DeAngelo Russell and then move him.

They wont do that, cause it likely means the whole FO and coaching staff gets canned, but I don't see this team as a contender when they are like 4-5 deep, and 3 are often injured and 2 are head cases.

Seems like Toronto aren’t going to try and get the seven pick. At least with OG

They should let Trey interview all of the top prospects and let him make the pick.
