Chris Conner, from the Boot Krewe, is pretty good. He, along with the host offer objective insight and film breakdown to highlight their points.

I like the trade that McNamara posted today a lot

Pels get Harrison Barnes, Zach Collins, 8th pick, 2027 Kings 1st, 2028 swap with Kings, 2029 Kings 1st, and 2030 swap with Kings

Kings get Brandon Ingram

Spurs get Kevin Huerter and #13
Probably the worst BI trade I've seen so far. Zach Collins being the best player we get back in a BI deal would be really bad.

5(Jarrett Reed) is the best from the BKM crew.

FAs arent an option unless we move BI, CJ, and/or Nance plus renounce Jonas. We have -$60m in cap space which includes about $23m in holds for Jonas.

Look I don’t think the local guys are any pulitzer prize winning journalists but I’m not dismissing everything they say because it’s technically not coming from a more reliable national media person either. Several of these national guys quote these same local guys like Clark and Shamit.
Some of Clark's stuff is spot on as I believe he is fed info by the organization as they see fit. I am not sure they give him anything earth shattering but info they want out there.

Off topic, but another thing to consider this off-season is that you can now essentially use your MLE as a trade exception. So you can trade for a player making less than 12.9 and you don’t have to send out salary.

I don’t know if that’ll end up being relevant for us, but it’s nice to have that option.

He's ok, too often influenced by the Cheddar fellow. Chris, to me, offers the best insight and doesn't fluctuate game to game. Just my preference.

Hawks: BI

Cavs: Nance + EJ Liddell + 24' + 27'

Pels: Murray + Okongwu + Allen

Not surprised to be honest. Murray will be cheaper, could help bring back a big like Okongwu, and allows you to keep CJ since he can play defense.

If the goal is just to get to the 2nd round and get sent home, then you trade for Murray. If the goal is to possibly make it to the finals one day depending on your center selection, you trade for Trae. But there’s a much greater risk of it crashing and burning with Trae.

Hoping this is just a fake out by Griff to drive the cost of Trae down to nothing.

Great question!

Might have to be

(1) 1st + Okongwu

(1) 1st + Dyson

But if we can dump Nance, keep Dyson, AND get Allen + Okongwu.. (3) 1st would be worth it.

Murray/ Jose
Herb/ CJ/ Hawk
Trey/ Dyson/ Ryan
Zion/ Okongwu/
Allen/

More Realistically:

Hawks: BI + Liddell

Cavs: Dyson + Nance + (1) 1st

Pels: Allen + Okongwu + Murray

Might have to add another 1st or swaps in there. Or swap one of Dyson/ Okongwu

Nance will be on this team as the backup 5. Griff and Willie love him too much. I think the obvious deal to make would be straight up with the Hawks.

Hawks: BI + 1st

Pels: Murray, Okongwu

I like Murray’s game for what the Pels need more than Young and he would cost less trade value wise so we can add a starting 5 in Okongwu who is ready to be a starting player in this league. If possible I’d love to try to keep Naji as the primary backup for Zion but no idea what his market will be.

PG: Murray / Jose or Hawk depending on matchup
SG: Herb / CJ / Hawk
SF: Trey / Dyson / Ryan
PF: Zion / Naji / Matkovic
C: Okongwu / Nance / JRE

Of course someone like Jarrett Allen would be preferable to start at 5 but he won’t come cheap. Okongwu is undersized too so that’s a negative. This is why ai still value a true 5 like JV. Maybe they can swing a deal for Walker Kessler. It will be interesting to see what they do regardless.

Pels would not add any draft picks with BI unless they’re getting a star level player back.

Even Better. I love Okongwu I just hate that he’s more 6’8” than 6’10” like he’s listed at but he’s a starting caliber player that’s why I threw a 1st in with it. Walker Kessler is my ideal choice to trade for a 5 though.

Like the deals, but I suspect the true deal would be closer to:

CAVS: BI ($36 million)

PELS: Murray ($25 million) + Allen ($20 million)

HAWKS: Herb ($12.5 million) + LeVert ($16 million) + 1st rounder

Pels: Murray/CJ/Trey/Zion/Allen /2nd unit Jose/Hawk/Dyson/JRE/Nance

I hope that first is coming from Cleveland, otherwise Atlanta better be taking Nance and sending Okongwu also
