What will it take for Luke Kennard to come here?
here's their roster
Reggie Jackson
Paul George
Kawhi Leonard
Marcus Morris
Ivica Zubac
John Wall
Luke Kennard
Norman Powell
Terance Mann
Amir Coffey
Robert Covington
Nicolas Batum
Isaiah Hartenstein
they already have more players than they can play. they arent going to want graham/temple/etc. they would want a draft pick. so you'd be looking at a 3-team trade at least (pels have picks, need roster spots. clips have players, need picks)

What if we gave the Knicks Graham, Hayes and a 2nd and did a sign and trade for Mitchell Robinson?
That’s technically a better package than we got from the Bulls for Lonzo last year lol.
I’m not sure it’s 100% realistic, but if we call all 30 teams with some kind of 2-1 or 3-1 for a player opposing teams are willing to get rid of or would rather not pay. I think eventually we would get a few takers and then we could determine what is the best fit for our team/rotation/etc.
Perhaps the proposed package above would work better with Temple than Graham since he is an expiring and the Knicks are all about creating cap space.

knicks still have to trade noel or burks to get enough space to sign brunson. they arent talking graham

The only player I want from the Knicks is Immanuel Quickley. I’d over pay to take him and Burks for Graham/Kira/Temple/ Hayes package(s)

Never said he’s not, but Clippers had a team option for 7 million, they declined the team option and then payed him more.
They could have exercised his option, then gave him the extension next year and saved money

one more time...the knicks are cutting salary to clear cap space. they are not trading anyone for anything that doesnt have a salary of "zero" attached to it

Yeah Knicks are tough bc they don’t want salary and Graham and Brunson would be a hilariously small backcourt.
Broader point is, I think we can eventually find a 2 or 3 for 1 that makes sense for both teams and also our rotation.
It will probably be for someone nobody on here has even mentioned, because that’s what we normally do lol.
Redick, Favors, Bledsoe, Adams, Graham, Jonas, CJ
All somewhat out of left field and unexpected trades/signings this current regime has made. Although, the CJ pickup was gathering momentum due to the Dame injury and Blazers tanking. But 4 months prior, I’m not sure any of us thought a CJ trade was realistic.

Temple can be bought out or stretched at 1 mil for 5 years. It’s exactly a player they could take and get to that “zero” #. You could attach Kira with picks + Temple and they would have 7 mil extra. The hardest part would be finding a trade partner for Graham or still creating an extra roster spot. Just saying it is very much possible but not likely at all.

I love it simply because this is part of a Clippers long term win at the expense of the Lakers.
The Lakers flipped Zubac and Michael Beasley for Mike Muscala back in 2019 at the deadline. Muscala walked that offseason. Zubac potentially could have been part of an AD trade or re-signed afterward when the Lakers needed depth, yet they dumped him.

That's what I want us to do, if we can't get Liddell to sign a two-way contract with the promise of converting it later in the season. I like our roster the way that it is.
The only other thing that I want us to be doing is offering Malik Monk the full MLE to come here.

I would also really like to get Malik Monk but he may get paid more than the full MLE.

Outside of sports, this is a great attribute to have.

We could send them temple while Jax goes to a third team. Don't know what picks to include where.
That's a Knicks savings of 5 mil with Burks coming back to nola.

According to Scoop B Trey, Naji, and Jose are all playing Summer League
Daniels
Alvarado
Murphy
Liddell
Marshall
Brockington
Seabron
Matkovic
That’s the team thus far I think

Why stretch him when we could just cut him without stretching and have virtually no negative effect?

Yea, I'd rather eat the $5 mil all at once then spreading it out.

Me too, if we can do it and stay under the tax line. I think that would put us right on the edge, no?

We are about $7m below so, yes, that gets us close.
