and regarding making a fuss for not playing him--that's another ridiculous thing the NBA has going for it. We went months at the end of the season not playing Temple--could he send his agent to make some noise? What about Graham--his minutes got cut as well--maybe he'll make a fuss. You can't force someone to play a player that's out of your rotation. It didn't make sense with AD and it doesn't make sense now. NBA is just digging the hole deeper and deeper.

Buyouts should be a maximum of 50% back to the player.

I think the Lakers would do that deal pretty quick. Hornets clear the deck for next offseason, plus get a potential young piece in Tucker..

I mean, they could've done that, but they'd rather have the 6.5 mil back.
It's shitty, but that's a consequence of having guaranteed contracts. I don't think it was Wall holding out, or not wanting to play, I think the team didn't want him taking minutes from other younger players.
The only time that I was really pissed was when the NBA supposedly forced us to play AD. The NBA should not be the one making decisions for a franchise in that situation. At worst, they should've possibly fined the Pels if they held out AD in nationally televised games (I think they've either done that or threatened to do that when teams "rest" healthy players). But, otherwise frick them, they should have no say concerning that. Realistically the Pels should've fined/suspended AD throughout that whole ordeal.

A 2 or 3 for 1 deal for Oubre or Rozier might be interesting to make room for Liddell and upgrade the Graham, Temple, Kira, Hayes (contract situation) roster spots.
We might not target Charlotte as a team to trade with, but there seems to be plenty of these mid tier type attainable players that we can target to create roster spots, improve our rotation, and not blow excess draft capital at the same time.
