for the pels
CLE: darius miller, e'twuan moore, CLE protected 2020 1st
NOP: tristan thompson
CLE gets their pick back (actually, 2nds the next 2 years) in the exchange of expiring salaries
NOP gets a real rotation forward, averaging 12.4 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 2.1 apg in 31.3 minutes who can step right in and play 2nd/3rd team minutes and keep the rebounding and defense from collapsing

Jrue and Frank for Gary Harris, Jerami Grant, and a future 1st.
Jrue and Frank for Herro, Justice, James Johnson. This would get Miami out the tax this year, and give them about $25M in salary space next year with Jimmy/Jrue/Bam/Duncan to move forward with, and they can create a max space if they can unload the expirings of Waiters and Olynyk, and go after DeRozan.

Kenny and Frank for a single Twix bar.

Detroit:
Chandler Parsons
Cam Reddish
2020 Brooklyn 1st
Atlanta:
Drummond
Detroit gets a young potential player and a likely lottery pick for Drummond. Parsons is just for salary purposes.
Cleveland:
Tyler Johnson
Frank Kaminsky
2023 1st
Phoenix:
Kevin Love
Phoenix needs to do something to appease Booker.
Now I'll do 2 trades I would take before the deadline for Jrue, but I really don't want to trade him, so it would have to be on an overpay.
Miami:
Jrue Holiday
Nikolo Melli
Minnesota:
Goran Dragic
Kendrick Nunn
Miami 1st (forgot what year they have)
22 Lakers 1st
Pels:
Justice Winslow
Tyler Herro
Robert Covington
Jarret Culver
This one is very unlikely as Minnesota would be giving up Culver, but it seems KAT is unhappy and they need to get some veteran help for him.
Warriors:
Jrue
Minnesota:
D'angelo Russell
Kevin Looney
Pels:
Jeff Teague (buyout)
Robert Covington
2021 Minnesota 1st
2020 Warriors 1st
Warriors get Jrue for next season. Minnesota gets Russel to pair with KAT and Wiggins. Pels get Covington and 2 what will likely be high picks.
Realistically, I would just like to get another 3/4 to backup Ingram and Zion, especially with Zion being on a minutes restriction when he gets back.

Yeah, I don't see them giving up Nunn, Herro AND a pick

so you lack vision?
Tristan Thompson would be a season changing upgrade on the front line

What are this team's weak links? When X gets significant minutes we're usually in trouble:
Kenrich
Melli
Okafor
Frank (I still don't know why he's above NAW in the rotation)
That's what we need to clean up. Hopefully Zion reduces the need for a backup big. That leaves Kenrich and Frank.
Shamit has been pushing going after MKG. He shoots 3s like Kenrich, but he's supposed to be good in transition and his overall FG% is much better, a career FG% of 47.5% vs. Kenrich's 37%.
Miller + Frank for MKG saves Charlotte a little money this year and they can claim getting an asset in Frank. Pels clean up the guard rotation a bit and get a better, more playable Kenrich.

I like that, a lot.
MKG is supposed to be a really good dude too

Unless we are just trying to open up a roster spot and don't feel like Frank offers us anything, I am not sure what that does for us.

Right. Top pick that never panned out but you never hear of him complaining or being a diva
I like that trade alot and I think it's a big upgrade.

quote:What's the upgrade though? We spend another $3 million or so for about 6-8 weeks of his play? If we were in contention, maybe I see it. However, he is expiring and will be gone after the year. Given his salary, not sure his bird rights are valuable. I guess if they do not think they will re-sign Frank, it could be a wash.

Because he has played well in the past and I think he would be an upgrade over Kenrich.
He is having a down year though
I hadn't looked at his numbers this year

The first benefit is addition by subtraction by keeping Gentry from being able to play Frank over NAW. Even if all we get back is a fake 2nd, I think we need to move Frank. It will help both wins and NAW’s development.
Also, Kenrich was a useful player before the slump. MKG is a better version of Kenrich with enough other offensive tools to not make him unplayable because he can’t shoot the 3.
I know you think we should trade Moore for a variety of reasons, but I just don’t see any good significant trades out there. I’d rather Moore help this team learn to win than cash him out just to get the equivalent of a 2nd round pick in trade for him. The way he’s played I don’t think resigning him to a reasonable deal is out of the question.

No way in hell Pels would get this haul for Jrue and a Lakers 1st.
If so, sign me up right now.
