I think its 100% True, they will not be traded in the offseason.

Any moves made will be to bolster the roster with solid veterans, guys that can play defense and shoot 3s. Much, MUCH less emphasis on rookies, young players and the distant future.

Its not total "win now" as I don't think Griffin is going to sell the future, but there is going to be more of an emphasis on being solid right now.

They’ll be here until the deadline at the very least. SVG will still need vets to help implement his schemes.

I’d say 99%. Do any of the owners think Jrue or JJ are the next Buddy Hield/Steph Curry?

Think they definitely stay. Go draft Kira Lewis and give Lonzo some competition. And let’s ball.

Mostly True

I think Jrue remains unless we’re blown away by an offer like say Denver including MPJ in a deal.

I think if JJ asks out, we’ll do him a solid and trade him during offseason.

Get an actual lead guard and push Lonzo to off ball. Can initiate fast breaks and stuff but not the half court offense. When the offense goes half court, he can set screens and spot up shoot.

It depends on whether or not they are necessary to facilitate a trade for Beal...

I'd be shocked if Beal was even remotely available but you are 1 for 1 today so I'll defer.

If it's lopsided in our favour, yes.

Otherwise, I doubt we'll be shopping either

I don’t think it’s too unlikely, but I don’t think there’s any remote chance the Pels trade for him. Washington wouldn’t take Jrue, so there would have to be another team jump in, which I guess is doable

Neither Hayes or NAW would strike any appeal in Washington

Jake Madison touched on this after the Lakers won the title.....

The hope we had making that trade was that the Lakers wouldn’t have enough firepower on the roster outside of LeBron and AD for any longevity. Now it looks like having Davis there might have prolonged LeBron’s timeline for success. Therefore, the future picks and pick swaps are looking to be much less valuable going forward.

So if you’re expecting to compete in the West going forward, then you might as well try to cash in some of those assets sooner rather then later while Zion is cost controlled. Picks in the 20’s for the next five years might not take you to the playoff/championship contender.

I don’t think the plan was to ever keep most of the Lakers picks (maybe a few in the latter years) but mostly use them as trade assets. Right now we’re a young team with a treasure chest of assets, I think Griffin is going to make a move or two in the offseason to try to cash in and get a really high level player to go along with Ingram and Zion.

What I think gives the Pels the best odds is LeBron playing longer and keeping cap clogged and the roster top heavy. All it takes a key injury one of those years we have a pick or swap and the Pels get a top 10 pick while they're already on the rise.

Lebron signing another 3+1 contract next year with the mindset of playing with Bronny regardless of any decline would be ideal.

Would be the dream scenario, along with them giving a lot of long term, big money Lebron buddy deals to keep the band together.

Both were potential trade deadline deals not offseason IMO but Windhorst just said JJ was instrumental in the hire so I'd say he's 100% around to the season.
