JJ was instrumental in the hire so I'd say he's 100% around to the season.

I think there's a chance this makes JJ retire a Pel. I know he wants a shot at a ring, but he also talks about playing for Stan very fondly, and if there's enough improvement he might start believing.

I'm only worried because we NEED a center. If we keep JJ, keep Jrue, bring Lonzo off ball, and get another PG then we have no money.

Zion/ Melli
Hayes

That doesn't get it done and we would still have no defensive threat for top SFs

Center is the easiest position to manufacture minutes for. How many minutes at Center do you truly need from a guy? 15 minutes?

You can find those guys.

I hope they at least field offers for Jrue. I think JJ is gonna stay though.

I mean given what we know about Gentry/Griff, I don't think Griff is altering his vision based on a coaching hire. He probably wants to make sure the coaching hire understands who's show this ultimately is. So if SVG is on board, it's because they understand and see the same vision.

This is HIS hire, which probably means he will be more prone to listening to his suggestions, but I doubt very much that if Jrue stays it wasn't already in the plans. Or that say Griff meets with Jrue and he's non-committal, same with JJ, that Griff would then take an action or gamble just because SVG is here as opposed to say, Ham or Unseld. So if Griffin was having advanced talks with Brooklyn, I don't think that stops. If he was leaning toward running it back with Jrue, I don't think that changes.

Well yeah, it means that Griffin never intended to trade them at all

I wonder if there’s a way you work a 3 team trade with either minny or GSW and send Jrue to one of them, Beal to Nola, and then send the picks/young players to Washington. Griff really likes Beal.

My point is I don't think hiring SVG either confirms that we won't trade them or would alter any plans if they do/don't exist.

Seems like Beal is probably off the market til at least the trade deadline, likely next offseason.

Given he signed a two-year extension. Seems like Washington, for whatever reason, wants to drag this out one more year.

Think Brooklyn is really the natural partner to look at, especially since the rumors are we have had discussions near the trade dedline.

Jrue is not going to be traded to the Wizards or Warriors.

If he is traded it will be one of the Nets, Nuggets, 76ers, Heat, Pacers, and maybe Bucks.

Most likely it would be Nets, Nuggets, 76ers, and Pacers

Crewz makes some good points about his podcast with Lowe where SVG talked extensively about the Pels.

He isn't that convinced that Jrue won't be traded based on it. He raises some decent pernts.

I think the hire means they want to compete for the playoffs this season so I’d say true.

Might be because its late in the day, crewz was on a podcast with Lowe? Or he was commenting about a podcast Lowe did with SVG? If the latter I think I listened to that one. Probably want to listen to it again now that we hired him lol

Stan talked about how Ball can be a PG in transition and a spot up shooter in the half court. If he can work on finishing at the rim and being a respectable free throw shooter, he’d be great. I hate watching a point guard blow layups thoigh

I just can't see us taking that much of a step with JJ, Jrue, and Lonzo.

We need a defensive SF, rim protecting C, and facilitating PG. Keeping all 3 doesn't benefit us there.

Vet min players don't help us if one of them has to start, especially at the C position.

Probably true, which I do not like...or at least don't like the idea of them being around all season and hitting free agency.

I do get the pros of it, but I just can't possibly see the pros outweighing the cons of letting them walk with no return.

We're not winning a title next season, we need to get that value back, especially Jrue who has a really solid value to get a return on.

Obviously I'm referring to the podcast SVG did with Lowe.

Your grammar and phrasing was not particularly helpful in making that clear
