To be fair, Bledsoe was a second team all-nba defense player and 1st team the year before.
It’s not like Griff should have expected him to become less useful than a cardboard cut out of himself.

true, but man if they screw this up, pencil it in

Jrue has put up pretty much the EXACT same numbers as Bledsoe in the playoffs this year also

Either she actually is -- which proves how useless Griffin is or.. you hire a qualified head coach, and get raked over the coals for passing on the black lesbian
This is exactly what I was thinking. I’m really starting to wonder how smart Griff is. I started having my doubts last offseason after getting raped in the Adams trade and the hiring of SVG, now floating her name out as a serious candidate? Like wtf??

You don't get any woke points if you don't hire her.

The Jrue trade overall and taking on Bledsoe was still the correct move for what we received. There’s a possible high reward down the road and I sure didn’t want to pay Jrue a max deal that’s jus crazy.
Bledsoe either just lost a lot of athleticism or just could give two shits. I’m sure it’s the latter, hard to predict that a player woukd do that in a trade. It’s why I rather grow with a young team of drafted players.
The Adams trade was the real screwup. I said numerous times we shouldn’t have given up a first and should not have resigned him to no more than 12 million a year. Both major mistakes that most of you thought were wrong at the time…..

Lee was a coach of Bledsoe's for 2 years, we'll know real quick whats what if Lee is hired.

I will ask this question repeatedly:
Out of all of the people we COULD hire...do you believe she is the #1 best choice?
Yes or no?
No, I don't believe she is. She would be a big risk, just like many would be, even more experienced coaches. I'm just not gonna melt over it if it happens.

So, your bar is whether she knows basketball at a higher level than unknown posters on a message board?
Nope, never said that. I simply don't believe her knowledge of basketball is diminished at all simply because it comes mainly from playing with/coaching women.

Sam Cassell, Jamahl Mosley, Calipari and Chauncey would all be guys I would want to talk to about the job. I'd also be interested in talking to Hardy and Hammond from SAS

What has Calipari done lately to make you think he can coach in the NBA?
Nothing, but if he had any interest, I'd still want to talk with him about it. I realize his previous stint in the NBA left a lot to be desired, but he's still forgotten more about basketball than most of us will ever know; and players love him.
That alone is worth talking to him, imo

Said it last year! This team needs Darvin Ham!

One name I keep hearing universal rave reviews on is Charles Lee

Yeah I have seen a lot of people praising him.
I think he is my guy. Grinded playing ball overseas. Spent a short time as a college assistant. And now has worked his way up for the past 7 years as an NBA assistant and player development coach. He's earned his way.

Fully prepared for Griff to take two months to make this hire
Posted on 6/16/21 at 2:49 pm to TigerinATL
Fun Fact: JJ Redick is older than Charles Lee.
Posted on 6/16/21 at 2:50 pm to CP3forMVP
I do expect him to wait until after the Conference Finals as there are some people he may want to interview still coaching at that point.
Posted on 6/16/21 at 2:50 pm to Fun Bunch
Marc spears just said on the jump that he is hearing that Charles Lee is the leader for the job that griff liked him a lot last offseason before he hired Stan.

I get Spoon would be the woke pick and ergo the media is literally all over it, but if we want to make sure this franchise is supported in the near future, we should not be looking for woke points and get someone in here who can actually get the job done.
Otherwise, we will just be known as the Franchise who blew 3 All NBA given talents.

Agreed. Like what I'm hearing. Sounds like Mac thinks he's the guy Griff wishes he would have hired last year but went against his gut thinking he needed an experienced HC. Hopefully that bodes well for him getting the job.
