There has been a huge media push lately for Garland. Like the dude should give his Agent an extra 10k good hahha.

Very fact is, when Garland went down early, Ja wasn't on the #2 radar. Garland could and probably would have very easily played his way up into such consideration. He's the equal of talent as Ja. People worry about his ball IQ which might be the most worrisome. Garland would fit the timeline perfectly of when we're possibly going to transition away from Jrue.

Is it RJ or Cam that it's rumored Zion doesn't want to play with?

Is there a valid source for that because in most articles ive read RJ and Zion were joined at the hip and it was RJ who got Zion to come out of shell.

Coach K was on NBA radio yesterday and said that Zion and RJ are like brothers, and did everything together at Duke.

We don’t need 3 threads for the same topic saying the same things in a slightly different way, it doesn’t make any sense.

I find it pretty funny that garland was thought to be a 7-10 pick all but 2-3 weeks ago. Then pelicans know they’re getting 4th pick in a potential lakers trade and start fielding offers. Garland moves up to the 4-6 conversation. Pelicans make the trade and shortly after most people seem to think garland/ hunter are interchangeable at 4. Then pelicans announce that they would draft garland at 4 if they kept the pick. Garland is now the consensus 4 with tons of teams putting in offers to move up to get him. Now the Knicks are holding a work out with him and he could be taken at 3.

I think he is a great player and has solid potential to be a great player in the nba, but he only played 5 games against poo teams and I feel like the pels FO has done an unreal job of juicing him up and getting the media hyped about him. Our return for the 4th is only going to be better now if we move it. We even got the Knicks out here second guessing themselves, or trying to get teams offering them something substantial for the 3rd with the idea they’re taking garland.

I love our FO haha they even have me saying it would be dumb to not take garland at 4 if we keep the pick, when 2 weeks ago you couldn’t change my mind on hunter. First the lakers and now the #4 pick. Masters of manipulation and I’m all in.

Yep which is why I'd rather hang on to the pick unless someone blows us away. Ain't here to just trade back.

Garland left the combine early, when he was promised he would be taken in the top 5.

Again, to all the "He played no one" crowd, you have to treat him like a HS player coming out. Look at his skill set, not his competition level. Garnett and Kobe never played anyone good before they got drafted.

We will be saying the same thing in 2021-2022 when the HS start coming out in the draft again.
