We still don't know but 2 months ago I thought he was done. There's been a lot of smoke in the last few months that says he might actually play.

Also today on twitter he was going to bet that he will play on game 1.
It was reply to the follower, but still...

So does anyone know the recovery time table. All I can see is 3-4 months for a complete tear.

Travin Dural didn't fully recover for over a year.

When, where, and how did he do this?

I still blame the training/medical staff for letting this happen.

Do the Pels have the most salary dollars lost to injury the past 10 years? It sure seems like they have at least 1 starting level $10+ million player down every year.

With our luck and sfs, Lebron would even get injured here.

I love how this random Deadspin writer is basically a better GM than Dell - rips Asik's albatross of a contract and points out we have $60MM tied up in the least essential position on the court.

Describes the Pelicans as playing "brutal, unwatchable basketball". Yup - dead on.

This is a problem, and not just because it means the Pelicans are going to continue playing brutal, unwatchable basketball! Cousins will become an unrestricted free agent after this coming season, and the best chance the Pelicans have of persuading him to return will be by making a serious playoff push. That was probably a long shot anyway, in the loaded West, but with friggin’ E’Twaun Moore playing minutes at small forward, they are probably toast. It’s not clear that retaining Cousins and trotting out this wacky Cousins-Davis frontcourt is even all that great an idea, but if they want the option beyond this season, the Pelicans need to start compiling evidence that it actually, you know, works.

I saw on the ESPN crawl 6-8 months.

So...yeah. Most of the year.

Someone mentioned Khris Middleton basically had the same injury. Him needing surgery was announced on September 21st. Hill already having surgery was announced on August 26th. So Hill is say 3-4 weeks ahead. Middleton's first game back was February 8th. So maybe Hill can be back by mid January if all goes well?

It'd be nice if we could jump in on the Cle-Bos trade and bring back Crowder. No idea what that would cost is though.
