Were there rumblings that Solo was hurt or is this completely out of the blue?

I wouldn't call it rumblings but it was odd that he was the only player under contract not at the workouts in Kentucky other than Asik/Ajinca.

Bad news.
The good news is that he will not get additional incentive of 500k to his contract (games played) for 18/19.
Middleton had the same injury at was sidelined 4,5 months.

Expect stretching Asik and maybe Ajinca. Maybe a trade using 1st.
Bigger role for Darius and hopefully healthy QPon

That means we should see him in January-ish which isn't that bad.

So does anyone know the recovery time table. All I can see is 3-4 months for a complete tear.

I wonder if the Nets would have any interest in Asik for DeMarre Carroll. Asik is owed about $5 million less total and they already got paid to eat a bigger contract. Carroll would be good enough to keep the defense from falling too much, but you'd need to dump money to make that trade. Maybe throw in a 2nd and send them or someone else Ajinca.

I mean this is almost silly now. Despite some thinking he was/is overrated most real fans were expecting a better offensive season from Hill along with being the multi-purpose defensive anchor that could play in every line up we rolled out.

Just considering his value on the court he was easily our 3rd most important players this season. This sucks.

Asik + Moore for Carroll would work financially, and save us $4 million this year. I actually like our G depth, so I would be fine with moving Moore for a stopgap SF.

Darius Miller had a decent DRPM in 2013-14 of 1.45. It's a relatively small sample size, 45 games, and they probably came against bench units, so it needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but it's very comparable to Hill's 1.49 last season. The team should make a move rather than banking on Miller, but I wouldn't be surprised if Miller were able to step up and surprise people.

Great. Gentry gets to hide behind and play the injury card yet again this season.

They can't play that card again. The only card they might have left in the deck is the "My Boss Just DGAF" card.

Agree. Just saying that it looked strange that he was absent.
Now we know why...
