Fair enough.. Zion got re-evaluated today and decided to skip tonight's home game to decorate the locker room for valentines day while the team was on the court

Much more fun when people hang themselves with their own words and are still around to try and save face imo

With him not sure it makes so much more overwhelmingly positive that we go 3-0. Why risk him coming back a week early when he could have 2 extra weeks off.

Because if he's healthy, he doesn't need anymore rest. Has he not missed enough games or something? If he's healthy, he needs to play, I don't care if it's one game before the ASB. But as soon as he got injured I expected him to be out until the ASB, so I'm not expecting it to happen.

So he wanted to do something nice for his teammates and you criticize? You’re a joke.

I hope I get a Z VDay card. That would be awesome!

If he’s somehow magically confirmed to be “healthy”, then sure. Soft tissue injuries aren’t that cut and dry though, so it’s not easy to just determine someone is 100% healthy, which is why most players with soft tissue injuries don’t come back early from their set time tables.

Bringing back Zion for one game before a possible extra 2 weeks of rest would irresponsible imo. If he can play Friday and get 3 games in before break, that’d be a little different

Every injury turns into a massive deal with little to no updates.

I'm irrationaly gun-shy with every injury/bump/bruise to any Pel at this point, not just Zion.

Herb gets a shoulder to the face, I think, "Well, that's two weeks out." Nance falls over a player and comes up limping, I think, "shite, that's 5 games." Naji lands flat on his back after a hard foul, and I'm like, "OMG, please get up. We have a 3-game road trip next." I'm almost shell-shocked when a Pel not only finishes a game after a collision or an innocuous bump , but then plays the next game.

I must have PTSD: Pels Talk "Sidelined" Delirium...or is it Pels Trainers Suck Dick?

My theory:

Zion was re-evaluated yesterday and hasn't progressed as much as hoped. Minor setback, but team probably said, "We can't have you play until x/y, so the All-Star Game is out." I could see Zion being very upset (sad) about the news and just wanted to go be alone with it, hence missing the game. It passes Occam's razor and nothing truly acrimonious is at play.

Hope for good news, expect bad

Zion hasn’t showed us he’s capable of staying on the court yet, so I’ll continue to assume he’s day to day for the rest of his career

I think it was 2 games ago that Nance hurt his ankle was was limping like he had to leave the game. I was crushed (Larry is one of my favorite Pels ever), but he never even left the game lol. I was sure he was gonna be out for weeks.

He's had one minor setback already but almost two weeks ago after the setback, he said that he feels really good and that he wanted to play before the all-star break. My theory is that he's healthy, and like always, the training staff is being uber cautious. If it were up to Zion, I think he would be back on the court. But like I said, I've expected him to be out since the all-star break even when it was reported it was just going to be three weeks, so I won't be upset if he doesn't come back until after. I just don't get my hopes up with injuries to our stars.

He gets paid the same to play or not play. So he figures let’s not play and he fresh for his next destination. Can he be traded now while we can get something for him?

1. no.
2. his value doubles next time he plays 25 minutes in an nba game 17 6 and 3.
it doubles again when he gets 32 minutes 28 6 and 4.
you would be selling low if you could move him now. sometime
after playoffs you can trade him.
