One of those 3 will have to go. CJ is on the books until 26', so I don't see him going anywhere
CJ is the least likely to play out that contract in full, especially after tonight if no one is traded.

Yep. That’s where we differ. I’d rather roll with the 22 year old who has shown that he can lead the team to wins and heights we haven’t been to. I don’t really care about anything else. Zion will mature, everyone does. I’m taking the player with the (much) higher ceiling every time. Why would we want to be the team that has to BI 45-50 million a year when his biggest quality is he “loves the game and wants to here.

idk if he starts declining we might be stuck with him. Unless he just becomes another guy we have to yet again give up assets to move.

I also have no issue with this line of thinking as that is what it should be. I just don't know if Zion is ever going to mature. I also think his prime will be significantly shorter than the average NBA player. He has not shown a willingness to take care of his body. The moment he loses even 15-20% of this athleticism, it is going to fade fast for Zion. He reminds me of a star NFL running back. His window of greatness is going to be short.

And BI can be a #2 that shows flashes of #1 type performances on a championship team. I'm a believer that Scoot has #1 type potential.

This is the way. Some smart team like OKC will absorb him into cap space and we’ll pay them to take him off our hands. That’s the only outcome if we don’t trade one of the big three now. This is not a horrible outcome if we are productive in the next couple of years before we blow it up.

This is exactly why I don't think he will be one of the three to go

I really feel like if Griff doesn’t pull the trigger on this, he’ll be out next season. I just don’t see us being healthy enough to make the second round and I think that’s the line of success we need to be at next season to keep things intact with the current roster

What are you basing that on? When have we ever won so dramatically with Zion?

He played less than 30 games last year. Before he went out for good, he missed 8 games, in 3 groups (2 in Oct, 3 in Nov, 3 in Dec). The team went 6-2 in those games. It's a quirk of the schedule and we had a good stretch. That's how seasons work, ebbs and flows. To hyper focus on small segments is musguided..

The betting odds has been wild lately,

Scoot is now +115
Miller is now -190

For the 2nd pick.

I’m betting scoot for #2. I just think he’s more mature and hard working.

Its going to be Miller. I think Charlotte has always cared more about fit.

Rumors that Portland could pass on Scoot and Draft Amen Thompson

Zion for #4 and Sengun

We’d be a perennial championship contender w this package. Basically our version of Jokic and Murray. Plus we still have Ingram, Herb, Trey, etc.

Might need some salary help to fill gaps in the trade but it would be doable

I think Portland would go with Amen over Miller, but would pick Scoot for sure if he’s there.

So if Scoot is a top 15 player in this league according to this board.

Wemby is 1 and Miller is top 10?
