I'm laughing at the idea that you would think Ben Simmons or Jokic have the same value as Ingram in today's NBA.

Alright.

Again, if you have 22 year old Kevin Durant, and teams are wanting him, what would it take you to trade him?

I like Ingram. He ain't Kevin Durant. That ain't a knock cause 99.99% of players in history aren't on his level. KD already had a 30/7 season at 21. 25/6 with 42% from 3 at 20.

Its a exercise in futility to speculate on trading Ingram. He's NOT going anywhere.
This is supposed to be a REALISTIC thread about off-season moves.
Again, INGRAM IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE AND WILL GET HIS MAX CONTRACT FROM THE PELS!!! Just a matter if Griff offers it up front or waits for a team to set his market. We are going to match it. If Gordon got matched because WE had to bc he was the "main piece" in the Paul deal, then WE are in more of a "gotta match" bc Ingram was the main piece and a bonafide All Star this year with moons to go before he reaches his potential.
Any conjecture about trading Ingram is not beneficial to a real discussion about what moves need to be made.

Talk about Jrue and Reddick, regarding trades, but talking about Ingram is just as silly as talking about trading Zion.

22 year old Kevin Durant was coming off a 23 win season where he led the league in scoring and went on the lead his team to 50 wins, after drafting this Jim Harden guy. They lost in the first round.

Let’s let BI be BI and stop comparing him to Durant just b/c he’s skinny. Durant is 5” taller than him and one of the greatest offensive players to ever play.
He’s not Durant. He’s not even Jayson Tatum at this point. Much of that can change this upcoming year though.

I would entertain a trade for Ben Simmons though. Big 3 of Ingram, Zion and Simmons would be exciting.
Jrue, Reddick and whoever (outside of Lonzo, Hart, Hayes, Didi) for Simmons and a 1st rounder. I would likely pull the trigger.

BI is definitely on Tatum level. Maybe even better but certainly not a lesser player. BI just needs a coach like Stevens and a little bit better cast of teammates around him like Tatum. People better put some "respek" on Ingram name!! #BI4Life

I think BI and Tatum will be compared throughout their careers. They are both great potential multiple all star level wings. I think Tatum is just bigger and a better shooting resume (although I think their shot is what and what now). But BI is definitely up there with Tatum.

Ehh. It’s close. But I would bet more GMs would value Tatum more right now, just slightly.

Couldn’t agree more and that’s why I say GMs value Tatum more at this point b/c he looks better out there with his better supporting cast and better coach.

So, back to the original topic...here is my realistic offseason

1. Trade JJ to the Nets and get Kevin Love + Spencer Dinwiddie in return

Pels trade Redick, Melli, Miller, and #13 in a three-way deal with the Nets and Cavs where we get Love, Osman, Dinwiddie, & #5 (Yes I stole this one from Crewz)

2. Trade Ball to OKC and get back Lauri Markannen (CP3 to the Bulls)

Pels trade Ball, Hayes, and 2 seconds in a three-way trade with Bulls and OKC and get back Lauri Markannen

3. Sign Jae Crowder to the MLE

4. Re-sign E'Twaun Moore, Kenrich Williams, and Jahlil Okafor to one-year min deals

5. Draft Killian Hayes with #5, Udoka Azubuike at #39

6. Lue as HC with Brian Shaw as lead assistant and keep McMillan and Vinson on staff (yes stole this from Crewz too)

Dinwiddie / Hayes / NAW
Jrue / Hart / Moore
Ingram / Crowder / Osman
Zion / Markannen / Hustle
Love / Azubuike / Okafor

Size, tenacity, can switch everything, just enough 3pt shooting, and future flexibility

What is Cleveland getting from this? They are trading Cedi, Love, and #5 for for #13 and Meli essentially?

Levert and maybe Musa would have to be included for the Cavs to bite.

And how many teams do you think will want to sign Crowder to the MLE? Why is he choosing us over those teams?

We are a big FA destination, didn’t you know?

Anyone remember the last time we had a lot of cap space?
I do
We signed Solo and Etwaun.
Remember that next time any of you want to create more cap space like it’s a good thing.

Melli to the Nets...they get out of Love's contract which is why they aren't getting better assets. They move back in a draft that is unknown and can get their big or wing in the late lottery.

Crowder is a tough call. That one is more wishful thinking but I don't think it's completely out of the question...we may have more money to spend or maybe he'd like to play with Jrue or Zion (odds are he returns to the Heat though)

Not even trying to compare them, just simply asking a question. Right now in this NBA BI would have the same value as a 22 year old Durant.

That's where you ask yourself, what would it take for you to trade 22 year old Durant, and that's what you should expect in a trade for BI.

Brandon Ingram is 23.

A “23 year old” Durant (top 5 NBA player) would garner about the same as Anthony Davis. Work the math on that..

No he doesn’t. Did you miss the part where I said said Durant won the scoring title at that age, then led his team to 50 wins? BI has done nothing close to that.

Well he hasn’t played on a team with a Westbrook and Harden, that’s for sure

Age 22 season, per 36

Durant/Ingram
PPG - 25.6/25.3
APG - 2.5/4.4
RPG - 6.3/6.5
3P - 1.7/2.6
FTA - 8/6.3

FG%- 46.2/46.3
3P% - 35/39.1
FT% - 88/85.1

Nothing close to Durant eh

BI growth was stunted with the arrival of the black hole called Lebron. It took for LaBra to miss time for BI to show his worth. Similar to Tatum and Brown having a "down" year when Kyrie was flaming out in Boston.

Now that BI is the man in N.O., I fully expect his maturation process to mimic Durant. The comparisons are evident and appropriate. Is he Durant? Not yet and those in favor are not necessarily saying he is, but the numbers are strikingly similar at the same stage of their respective careers.

A better supporting cast will undoubtedly be to BI's benefit and allow for him to show his full potential.

The fact that BI actually has better shooting numbers than Durant at the same stage is scary.
And people want to trade BI for Wiggins, smh. You dont trade 22 yr old, perrenial All Stars for a mediocre player and lottery picks in a down year.
But this a great year to mine and find your "Siakam." Vassel, Nesmith and Bey should be the three prospects the Pels should target with the 13th pick.
Then attempt to move up a bit in the 2nd to grab a seasoned PG or big with the mindset that said player will contribute now.

Sign Jeramie Grant from Denver and Harry Giles from Sacramento.. Voila. Instant contenders. And thats not even considering what to do with Jrue/Reddick.
