re: Official: Jameer Nelson signs with Pelicans on one-year deal - irvchilichill1
Hate that Crawford got waived. He would of been the bench scoring guard we desperately need. Plus he's the only clutch shooter on our team. It's just like BornReady getting waived or having to trade a Rasual Butler years back. Bad contracts forcing decent backups who are on great contracts to ha...

re: Pels sign Tony Allen per Shams - irvchilichill1
Whoever sees this signing as a reason not to sign Dante back is not seeing the bigger picture. We replaced a starter, albeit with evident limitations (Hill), with a player who was always considered a non shooting, but exceptional D (Allen), in his HEYDAY. Allen is not a starting caliber player...

re: Pels express(ed) interest in Iman Shumpert - irvchilichill1
I believe that is a great move at this point, and maybe even prior to Solo injury, depending on the consideration given in exchange. Basically would be replacing Solo output and a tad bit more offense. I would trade our 2018 2nd rounder and Asik for Shumpert. Why would Cleveland do this deal?...

re: Realistic remaining player options to finish offseason? - irvchilichill1
Wished the Pels would of went after Luc Mbah Moute, fits a need at the 3 and just realized he signed with Houston for the vet minimum. That could have been a solid signing to finish the offseason... Oh well, hope Dell has a plan like some have indicated... One more piece, SF shooter or a sho...

re: Hypo: Cavs offer Kyrie for Boogie. Do you make that trade? - irvchilichill1
The goal of attaining a player like Kyrie with the pieces we have now is to compete for a championship against the Warriors and Cavs... With that, I do not trade Boogie nor AD, they are a must have to any chance of the goal prior mentioned. So, my trade involves Jrue, Asik or Anjinca, a firs...

re: Realistic remaining player options to finish offseason? - irvchilichill1
I knew Asik would be a point of focus in this thread, but we all know he ain't going nowhere without coughing up our 1st to get another team to bite... So unless someone has a trade where we basically lose to get rid of Asik, then let's focus on "realistic" options. ...

Realistic remaining player options to finish offseason? - irvchilichill1
So, we got Rondo (FA), Cousins (early trade), Jackson (draft), Jrue (re-sign) and D. Miller (FA), as additions to this year's team. What other free agent(s)/sensible trade would anyone like to occur, before the start of the season?...

re: Vice sports: Diallo. - irvchilichill1
Time to throw him heavily in rotation THIS YEAR! He had a development year and I was ok with it, due to his Fr. year at Kansas basically being a lost year. However, he is 20 yrs old now, has had a year and a summer to get stronger, which by all accounts he is gaining the necessary weight to play...

re: Ok with the Non-signing of Swaggy P after this: - irvchilichill1
JR and NY aren't in the same sentence anymore. Smith has grown up and evolved his game to be multi dimensional.
Shameless Pel Not sure which JR your watching the last few years. If multi-demisional means chucking up shots (only a tad bit more reserved than younger years), feign...

Ok with the Non-signing of Swaggy P after this: - irvchilichill1
So the reason for Nick Young switching from Pels to Warriors is summed up by him, stating: When asked about how Green’s recruiting (Young was seen with Green at some sort of club on Snapchat over the weekend), Young said: “You now, it is Fourth of July, he told me, ‘Come hang out.’ It was a diffe...

Sign Jonathon Simmons!! - irvchilichill1
With the Spurs signing Rudy Gay, I believe we should seriously look to signing J. Simmons. Athletic wingman who could compete with Hill for the starting SF spot. Regressed a bit from 3 last year, but that might be an anomaly over his career. Solid defender who can matchup with GS wing players. ...

re: To those who think Solo is Grossly Overpaid - irvchilichill1
Let's give Solo at least another year to the All-star break to assess his contract. If he has an Otto Porter year, we would be saying he's a steal and then thinking Top 4 in the West contender. Alot was working against the team in the early part of last year. Hopefully, a year in the system, a ...

re: Upgrade through Boston?? - irvchilichill1
Tony Allen may be available due to Memphis appearing to give up on their recent team of Conley, Randolph, Gasol as the core.... Not the best shooter, but an elite defender, that still can contribute. Worth a look but not giving up Diallo in any scenario....

re: Upgrade through Boston?? - irvchilichill1
Well Young signed with Warriors, as if they needed more shooting... Imperative now that we try to get Crowder. Not the best 3 point shooter, but improving.. Starting to get worried that all of the shooters out there are signing elsewhere. Damn near should of had all of Warriors off-season si...

re: Upgrade through Boston?? - irvchilichill1
Give me Crowder or Jonathon Simmons, Nick Young for shooting and we still need an above-average big until Diallo is fully ready to be the 1st big off the bench. These options are very attainable and bolster our weak spots (starting SF/bench). We have one season to determine basketball in the NO....

Upgrade through Boston?? - irvchilichill1
Pels should try to sign Kelly Olynk and trade for Jae Crowder... Sign Nick Young and call it a summer... Would be a solid team and definitely a Top 5 in West... Must really try for Crowder... He is the key!!...

re: Thoughts on Shaun Livingston - irvchilichill1
Wouldn't mind SL on team and add another pass first PG to take place of Jrue. Been saying it since Feb. Don't feel Jrue is part of any Big 3 to compete for chip. Need to draft or trade for our PG once we have all the pieces to compete. ...

I thought we should of gave up a 2nd at the deadline for Nick Young and see if he could fit within the Towers.... Getting Jordan actually Might pan out the same and I like his makeup better. Don't be surprised if he shines the rest of the way and we are trying to figure out how to sign him to ...
