McCollum is fine. The disappointment is JV.

Herb, for future reference, please don’t run behind Chris Paul.

Biggest takeaway from this series is that CJ is, at best, a #3 on a good team in the playoffs

This is only game three and that's not at all the only take away. That's not even a take away

Yeah. we switched way too easy and then failed to double Paul after the switch until the very end. Should have backed off and allowed him to shoot the 3.

Luckily thanks to their stupid tv schedules it'll be the last game I can watch of this series anyway.

CJ's inability to make shots in the 4th hurt bad.
Person had a shot, couldn't stop cp3 or rebound late.
Got some open looks but wrong guys shooting.
Jose and BI gave us a good chance.
Sack it up and move on to Sunday

Nothing is disappointing about JV. If you watched any game this year you know he is going to struggle against this pick and roll. We simply do not have a big who can guard it.

I’m not sure it’s fair to judge McCollum by this series. There’s a reason Bridges got $90 mil and it’s not because of his offense. 7’1 wingspan is gonna cause a smaller guard fits. There’s only like 3 of those guys and the pelicans have one.

His D and terrible FTs are the 2 biggest issues

But he's not a playmaker b/c he turns the ball over

Then his reliance on long 2s is worrisome

CJ took BI out of the game in the 2nd half of the 4th and BI is a much better playmaker

The only centers who can play in late game situations are Embiid, Jokic, maybe Ayton. JV is more valuable for most of the season than he is a liability.

Because Willie for all his good parts is absolutely awful at making rotations

His offense has been non existent. We know he’s not a good defender but he’s not giving you much at all on offense. He’s only good for rebounding right now.

If they learned anything it’s that they can’t play Nance on Ayton. It’s got to be Jonas.

The issue is his defense on the pick-n-roll. He never steps out to defend the ball...he just backs up and let CP shoot practice shots and hopes he misses.
