Bad game for Zion with 18 11 and 5 steals lolol

It's nice that he is still filling up the statsheet, but it was a terrible game from him.

We have to figure out how to get him involved in the halfcourt because right now, we're running sets where it is 4 v 5.

Ugly wins are character building.

We're 2-1 and haven't played nearly as well as we are capable of. I like it. Can't wait to see what we look like by game 25 or so.

Some real positives to take out of a horrible offensive game. Played some great D and forced turnovers whilst keeping ours down.

Frustrating when every post move Zion makes seems to get batted back or fumbled.

Great win though... and we seem to be just warming up.

Continued our streak of dominating the boards. 9 rebound advantage on the offensive boards.

Adams has been great. But this is why playing a spacer next to him is so important. Or, at the very least, adding another shooter.

He beats his man every time, but ends up in the face of a seven footer.

He needs to be able to kick out to shooters, or play next to a spacing big that won't allow centers to drop into his lap.

Adams is gonna be here long term. The 2nd big CAN'T be Jaxson Hayes. Adams is good enough to make up for the spacing issues. Hayes IS NOT.

This is a a game we definitely would have lost last year. Nice to see us win this one

One disappointment though is the lack of minutes for NAW. It's not like we have a ton of depth right now. No reason you can't find some minutes for him. The one spot he had in the Raps game I didn't think he looked terrible either. Hopefully they can start working him in.

This is why I was saying since the moment we picked up Hayes he needs to be groomed to be a jump shooter.

Adams can work if we have three spacers but as is this is going to be a problem all season.

To Gentry’s credit(and disdain) he sacrificed rebounding to get Zion out on the break as quick as possible to be able to either get fast break points or only have to match up against one or two defenders(almost never traditional bigs because of the pace) and use some quick post action to get a score.

This team is actively accepting the trade off of losing that to keep Zion in to rebound and part of that trade off means losing those easy actions and fast break opportunities. I’d say early results are it is worth it because the team is winning, but it means Zion losing some of those easy buckets.

We are going to be stuck playing Zion significant minutes at center.

Great win tonight, boys!!!

Only 8 turnovers is fantastic. Dominating the free throw disparity.

A couple things are a tad worrisome, but we're 3 games in, not worth spending much time worrying as of now.

He's just terribly limited in his offensive game. What he can do is good enough to dominate at times, but we'll also be able to see teams contain him like tonight probably a bit more than I'd like.

Only 3 games in, so opinions can certainly change, but my hope was to see him to take the normal huge 2nd year leap like a Luka or even Lebron and have BI be the 2nd best player. But it seems clearly this is BI's offense for the time being. And that's ok, but to be an elite team we need BI to be the 2nd best option on offense.

Yea. Again, lots of season left for him to get run, but at some point, you have to know what you have in him, and we won't ever know that until he gets to play meaningful minutes in games.

Luka and Lebron got 82 games in their rookie years. Zion hasn't played 30 games yet. Please allow him to grow and develop

Completely agree.

Though, the stuff Zion needs to be truly elite, I don't imagine we'll see it before the end of the year. It'll take time to develop the handle, passing, and a little floater or something he can do to offset defenders helping and building that wall.

Ingram is destroying people. He is going to be an all-star again and do incredible things this season.

I just have a hard time taking anyone seriously that is being super critical of a 20yr old, 25 games into his career, who is getting 23 ppg a night without really forcing anything.

Don’t really care if he doesn’t have Luka Doncic’s skill level. Ingram as “the guy” allows him to do exactly what he does well at this point.

he's playing like a top 10 player and he's 23.

Guys like him with his skill set and length are rare. If he grows even just a fraction better with his playmaking, which he will, this team can do a lot of damage in the playoffs
