Not saying that the ATL board is 100% correct but their "insider" said that Young, Hunter, and Reddish weren't getting moved this offseason, basically those are their only "untouchables".

I definitely think they want to hold onto Reddish.

3 untouchables on a 20 win team

Players 4-12 on one of the worst teams in the league could be had though! No shite.

haha ok, then you aren't getting Jrue. He's not a FA, you actually have to give assets back to get him.

I do'nt want John Collins, but if another team values him, then maybe i'd consider a trade that didn't include Hunter or Reddish if we could get a nice return from the third team for Collins.

Then how do they expect to get Jrue?

Kevin Huerter and 6? John Collins? Who doesn't really fit

At that point, I'll take Levert, another young Nets player, and future picks.

John Collins would be a good get as far as assets goes.

Judging from opponents media, fans, and even national media, we should just give other teams Jrue because we want to be nice. Maybe we get a pick back or something.

We could've had Hunter or Reddish at number 4 and traded back last year. Could have had Reddish at 8 and passed on him again.

Would the front office really value either of those enough to make them the centerpiece of a Jrue trade a year later?

John Collins is a complete stud. I'd take him before Myles Turner any day.

If their eyes told them they were wrong when those players actually played, then sure? You always reevaluate and you should never double down on a preconceived notion.

That’s definitely a good point/argument.

I’m sure they like the potential from Reddish tho.

I really don’t care for Levert but that’s just me

Collins would be easy to move too.

The pick is the centrepiece of the trade

Right, im just not sure what their eyes could've seen to change their minds. Reddish had a decent stretch, but neither guy played particularly well last year.

To be clear, i'd still take either guy. I like both, and I still think passing on Reddish for Jaxson was a bad decision. But, it was their decision, and i'm not sure what they could've have seen last year to make them feel any differently.

Reddish flashed from serious potential imo, and with his physical gifts he could be something.

And this is coming from someone that called him a "garbage can" in the pre-draft threads.

Problem being he will want a max deal after next season.

They are under the impression that this is enough to get them the number 2 pick, so I assume that they believe that Huerter and 6 is enough to get Jrue

Makes me think their "insider" may just be a fan seeking attention, since the idea that you would be a serious player in what reports claim is at least 10 teams vying for him when you aren't even willing to offer anything of real substance that our team would maybe covet is silly.

Silly enough that it sounds more like a fan trade where you completely remove logic and reason from the other team.

Seems like the bar is likely Caris Levert, the Warriors pick, potentially the Minny pick, or Tyler Herro + pieces(given Shams rumor), not sure how Atlanta thinks they can play in that space if they take Reddish and Hunter off the market?

And the team we’d trade him to will not hesitate to give it to him.

I would assume that just like Jrue, if Collins was traded the receiving team would have already worked this part out.
