Best trade asset? Yes.

Zion is easily our best trade asset, and BI is probably close to equal to Jrue, if not equal.

(I realize you were probably excluding them because they aren’t going to be traded )

They are really set on the Warriors trade. They think Jrue+13 for Wiggins+2. They said there is absolutely no way the Warriors give up both #2 and next years Minny pick.

I can’t believe smart bball guys have such a crazy opinion. There’s no chance whatsoever that gets the deals done. The 2nd pick in this draft is the equivalent of maybe the 10th in a good draft.

I would rather take my chances with that 21 Minny pick than the 2nd pick this year.

Because that is way over value.

The Warriors traded Russell and two more players for Wiggins and a protected 21 pick.

People are trying to say the Warriors would do Wiggins, the #2 and the 21 protected pick for Holiday.

Why would Holiday on an expiring be worth so much more than Russell? How did Wiggins hurt his value since that trade?

Even if you ignore the quality of this draft, they basically established that Wiggins and a first was worth Russell last season. So, are they saying that Russell is worth more than Jrue?

I could maybe, maaaybe, see Wiggins + 2 + Minnesota pick in 2021 for Jrue + 13.

But then, in that case they would probably just rather do Wiggins + 2 for Jrue.

If and a big if GSW trade for Jrue it would probably be

Wiggins, #2, player

Wiggins, #2, 2021 1st ( they get #13) maybe we get another player?

3 team trade and I have no clue

If we make a 3 team trade I'd rather it somehow be the Nets and Hawks. A lot of solid young assets between those teams and it can be beneficial for all.

Oh you mean 2 scrubs added to the trade to make it work? Let’s not act like those 2 players have any value.

What a strange take as always.

Minnesota had to attach a 1st round and 2nd round pick in a MUCH better draft with Wiggins to get Russel.

The 2nd pick in this draft is roughly the equivalent of 10 or so next year.

Those two additions took the Warriors out of the luxury tax. So had a huge impact. Other teams don't volunteer to help out others. The Warriors FO is pretty savvy. Expecting us to get over on them is unrealistic..

Well, they won’t get Jrue then. That’s simple.

Ah huh but it was the Wolves that gave up the top 3 protected 2021 pick that turns into a unprotected 2022 pick. So your argument is completely moot as those players included offered no value to them.

They can get him if they want. We are debating value. Wiggins was just traded. His value is pretty much determined. We can use that as a guide. I don't believe Holiday has as much value as Russell (the Wolves wouldn't do a straight up swap if we called). But if the value is similar, perhaps that gets it done.

So Wiggins and the 2021 pick for Holiday would be close. But I think the Warriors would want a bit more. If its the 2nd pick instead of the 2021 pick, I think they want even more.

Terrible. Wiggins is basically a salary dump. You’re basically giving away Holiday while taking a 1st round pick for Wiggins. That’s is completely stupid.

That isn’t how this works. Value isn’t static.

This year’s situation is completely different. The market for good vets under contract will never be higher than it is this short offseason for all of the reasons I laid out.

The only reason they wouldn’t do it would be due to contracts, because they would be concerned that Jrue may not re-sign there. The Warriors shouldn’t have that concern.

If we;re spitballing what about something like this? Considering Paul's end of year the Thunder might not go for it, but I think it's fair for everyone.

We get a Vet to take some of Jrue's load. Lonzo gets to play offball in the half court and be the transition point guard so Paul doesn't have too.

Warrior's get Jrue and another 1st to offset trading they're top draft assets.

Thunder get to lower their cap space, move up in this years draft, and they are one if the few teams that can possibly be a good place for wiggins. Also, it seems like they are gonna go full rebuild. So another lotto pick and a late 1st could be attractive, and they get off the Paul contract so they're below

Pels get:
Chris Paul
2020 Warriors 1st
2021 Timberwolves 1st

Warriors get:
Jrue
Denver 2020 1st

Thunder get:
Andrew Wiggins
Pels 2020 1st
Lakers 2021 1st

Just listened to Lowe Post. I like Zach Lowe. That was kind of bad. They listed a Nets deal as “Levert and fillers”. Lolwat

Zach did make the point that we do not need to trade him and aren’t bluffing that we could keep him.

And they are dead wrong on GS. We would not need to include 13. So wrong.

Denver would never do that... Give up their first this year only to take on Andrew Wiggins and his contract?

Lavert and fillers isn't a terrible trade. It really would depend on the fillers. I'd assume at least one of Cabarrot/ Musa would be included. If another filler includes Prince or Allen then its interesting.
