Interesting trade, I would definitely consider it.

Not sure who would be opposed to that honestly.

Denver would never do that... Give up their first this year only to take on Andrew Wiggins and his contract?

Denver isn’t even in the trade you donkey

The Thunder would be giving up Paul and taking on Wiggins (most people think they are wanting to take a step back this season), while moving up in this draft from 25 to 13, and picking up an extra first next year.

My bad, what is OKC giving up in that trade to get Wiggins? I feel like they may be able to get more from another trade.

Chris Paul and the Denver pick and taking on the Wiggins shite sandwich.

Am I the only one more and more intrigued by Atlanta?

OKC in a Paul trade? I don’t know who would offer more than that. It’s been rumored that Milwaukee would possibly want Paul, but what can they offer that’s better than that?

I'm intrigued by shams suggestion. I've said that's about what it would take to do it. Honestly Huerter, Hunter, and #6 is interesting without the future pick.

If we can get two young pieces + 6, I would be intrigued. Maybe 2 young pieces and a 13/6 swap would be more realistic

Atlanta with 6, Dedmon, Huerter, Reddish as assets (I am not saying they would offer all that at all) they are intriguing to me.

Sorry, I was talking about who would offer more for Paul, from OKC’s perspective. I thought he was getting at that OKC could get a better package for Paul.

I can see the hawks trying to ask for #13 and #6 swap or trying to throw in Dedmon.

OKC might be able to get a younger player or other assets through another 3 team trade or just one team like Miluakee. I might be biased just because I don't think we are targeting a bigger contract in wiggins or CP3 > building for the future or paying Jrue.

Would rather Hunter than Reddish.

That Hawks packages does not sound good to me. What is supposed to be the appealing thing about that package? Reddish? Meh.

Huerter, Hunter, 6/13 swap would definitely interest me, but they may feel like that’s too much. I would even go for Dedmon, Hunter, 6 (no swap).

ETA: basically if it’s an Atlanta deal I want Hunter and the 6 at min.

I still think I like the idea of Paul, 2/13 swap, and Minnesota pick the most though. Paul can be the adult in the room, and could mentor Killian Hayes for 2 seasons. By the time Paul falls off of the books you have a “Big 3” of Zion, BI, and Hayes.

The base for Atlanta would be #6, Huerter and 1 of Reddish, Hunter, or future 1st.

They might ask for #13 swap or they might let us keep it if we take Dedmon. No way we give them Jrue and #13 without #2 and 2 young players.

Zach seemed fixated on the idea that the Warriors need a younger “bridge” player to keep the dynasty going. That’s looking way too far out when the West has gotten so tough. They need to worry about the Lakers and Clippers, and if Jrue goes to Denver, the Nuggets too. The Warriors need to win now to keep the dynasty going, not 5 years from now. Zach was just wrong about this I think.

I just don’t see the Pelicans taking on that many young and inexperienced players considering the majority of the roster is inexperienced. And that not even including players they’ll add in the draft. I’m going to say the Hawks package won’t move the needle for Griffin.

Totally agree. The Warriors will not give two shits about a “bridge player”. They have 3 more years to win another championship or 2 and then it’s curtains. They are all in now and will worry about rebuilds when that time comes.

The roster format changes with this move tho. We would add in 2 young player Heurter and someone else. We would then have a little more cap to get a SF or veteran in another position. Anything could happen with Jrue, Lonzo, and JJ so 1 trade might be leading to another move that makes sense.

Why is acquiring young assets that have already played solid minutes in the NBA less intriguing than an expiring vet or future/ late rounds picks?

I'm not opposed to the Atlanta deal...

You get JJ's replacement in Huerter and a young, backup wing in Hunter as well as Dedmon who can "start" for you. Take Hayes at 6 if there.

I think if you make that deal though you have to trade Zo because you're going to have a sign a DJ Augustin or someone to be the lead guard in the half court.
