IMO, a guy that you easily name off 5 negatives about doesn't equal an all caps perfect fit.

Garland, the drafted guard and Okoro, Dotson. Why would they want an $18 million backup? There have been rumors of them buying out Love if they cannot find a deal. Would they rather pay Bledsoe and Adams to be backups? I guess they could if they had no other deals.

The problem with him this year is I don't believe he fell off a cliff, I think he just flat out didn't want to play.

If NAW would've stayed healthy and played over Bledsoe, we likely make the play in over Memphis imo

100000% the effort was the most criminal.

IMO, he deserves a lot of the blame for the spacing issues this year. We can say it was Adams (I don’t agree with 90% of the hate he gets), but Jesus Christ this man was airballing 3-4 times a game. Who the hell is he drawing out? Literally no one.

Spot on. Anyone who thinks that Bledsoe is suddenly trash just doesnt get it.

JJ Redick went to shite last year, Bledsoe never wanted to be here. Vets purposely dont play hard when they are TRYING to force their way off a team. Not really hard to figure our - its obvious that some shite went down between Griffin and JJ/Bledsoe.

Neither wanted to play hard for us, and JJ said send me to Brooklyn etc. where Im from - he refused to try hard, wanted to avoid injury, and got his arse sent to Dallas.

Jrue Holiday did the exact opposite, and now he's in the FINALS.

PJ Tucker...why?

He's legit one of the worst rotation players in the NBA. You play 4 on 5 on offense, and he's really not that good on defense, certainly well overrated.

He's been the worst rotation player in these NBA playoffs, I don't think whoever is 2nd is particularly close either.

Then they could just as easily buy out Adams at half the cost.

Also, there will be teams looking for vet help at the deadline that they could easily unload those guys off on

His skill set is indeed a perfect fit, whether you or anyone else on this board wants to admit it or not.

Everyone clamors Zion needs more spacing, but when you can get a guy that will offer that spacing for nothing, nobody wants him.

Some bipolar arse people here.

Sure, if we ignore one side of the ball.

Man it’s a little more complex than that.

He is never healthy.

He makes A LOT. Not a little. He makes like 60 million over the next two years.

He is atrocious on defense.

He has had some issues in the lockerroom.

It’s very far to say he is a “perfect fit”.

if I were team captain 2nd time he dribbles off his foot i would have fought him at halftime until you pulled me off his carcass.
what a selfish a-hole.

Right now offense is what gets you into the playoffs, and that's what we are shooting for.

And yet it's still only a small amount more than Bled and Adams make, and that's only using guaranteed money.

I've already stated before, it's not the ideal trade, but there's not much that will be out there this offseason, and to get Sexton, who will likely be the best player available to trade for, for "cheap", you will have to take Love on. Swapping our 2 bad contracts for one bad contract that fits the team better in the grand scheme of things, is not bad. Worst case you have to give up the same pick you would have to give up to dump Bled and Adams, best case he looks great next to Zion and now you have a guy that can help you get to the playoffs, or that you can ship off at the deadline to a contender for other pieces. Bled and Adams won't get you that.

100% agree.

I could not believe that PJ Tucker was guarding Durant the entirety of the Brooklyn series. First off, you have a defensive MVP who just so happens to be the only human being on the planet who's athletic and long enough to challenge Durants jump shot, and then you have one of the best on ball defenders in the league in Jrue, yet you let that short fat arse guard Durant all series. On top of that, he's been horrible from 3 in the playoffs. I know the guy hustles his arse off and has a high IQ on defense, doesn't try to do more than he's capable of, but he's just not a good fit for about 30 of the 32 teams in the league.

That is the main part that seems to get ignored. It is a constant issue with him and he is 33 years old.

I had this argument actually on Pels Talk the night after KD had that bad game and everyone credited PJ Tucker, which was funny in the moment. Like Tucker really had anything to do with that, KD was just missing shots. Then KD went into God mode while PJ Tucker was guarding him, rendering PJ completely useless.

But after that game, a couple of posters said we should let Josh Hart go and get PJ Tucker because he's better than Josh Hart. That was just a really bad take in the moment and has really shown to be even more since.

if he's actually on the court

easier to unload bledsoe and adams separately than love at once. Adams isn't a negative value, despite the majority of the board feeling that way. He's also playable for 20 minutes a game. Bledsoe's contract isn't bloated that a 2nd round or 2 couldn't get you off of it.

Love's 30mil/yr is detrimental if he is on the sideline. Love is barely a positive on the actual court. moving 30mil is harder to move than 2 smaller contracts.

This season he shot 48.3% from 10-16 feet. He is bad in the dumb zone shooting 33% between 16 feet and the 3 point line, but he hardly took any shots from there, just 7% of all FGA.
