exactly
this is self inflicted situation

What’s reasonable for an often injured, one dimensional, constantly out of shape player?

depends
he’s basically expiring salary at this point. I would not be surprised if it costs the pelicans missi or herb or similar just to get rid of him. If that’s the case hopefully dumars has sense enough just to waive him

I don’t expect to get our pick back

I do think Brooklyn makes some sense

Claxton would be a good get if possible

I just want us to get a first round pick or two. I don’t really care to much about the player. Hopefully, it’s an expiring contract

Don’t see it. Unless they are heavily protected.

Uhhh can we get some oversight on this? Dumars shouldn’t be left anywhere near a phone with the authority to make this deal

What difference does it make? Zion has completely poisoned the market for himself, and most likely has his people out there fishing for offers, probably with a quiet promise that "hes been faking this whole time and is totally ready to dominate for YOUR team"

We all know he's gonna get traded for nothing then proceed to make the all star team wherever he goes

Grand, we can cut him with minimal impact on the cap.

Get back in the 1st round this year by any means necessary.

Build around Fears and Queen.

There was just a thread on this. IIRC, if we cut Zion right now, he's only guaranteed the rest of this season's salary. Unless Gayle wants to save short term money (probably) and there's a team that can eat most of his 2025/26 salary without sending similar salaries back (doubtful), then there's no reason to attach an asset to dump him.

I wonder if Portland would be dumb enough to send us Deni. Probably not. Forget I even mentioned that lol.

Coby White and Josh Giddey would be some other targets that might not be realistic, but maybe a market like Chicago would bite on if they feel like they need a true PF. Currently they seem to rely heavily on P Will (who sucks) and Matas (who is slim and young). Maybe shift Matas to the 3.

I mentioned Jalen Johnson, Jalen Williams and Sengun as trade targets 2-3 years ago and this board freaked out and called me retarded lol.
