So remodel the roster around the rookies by giving up future picks and Trey for 30 year old Jaylen Brown? Makes sense
Woukd be a Dumars type move.

What exactly is our front office’s vision for this team
This would be a disaster

I would trade Zion, Poole, Fears, Bey
Brown is 30 but still a NBA champ.

Murphy and Murray combined financially work.
I'm just not sure the value is there to give up both for brown. If Murray comes back to form, we're talking about 2 cost controlled contracts.
If anything you need to move zion

I know Fears is a guy we love, but if we are getting Brown and trying to win, you need to try to keep Murray right? A Mosely coached team built around Murray, Brown, Herb and Zion makes a ton of sense to me. Solid center play makes this a possibly exceptional defense. I struggle with the idea of what seems to be including Murray as a throw in.

Celtics get: Giannis
Pelicans get: Jaylen Brown and Myles Turner
Bucks get: Trey Murphy, Dejounte Murray, Jordan Poole, 2027 Pels/Bucks, 2028 Pels swap, 2029 unprotected Pels and future Celtics first
Pels go Fears, JB, Herb, Zion and Turner still with Bey, Queen, Missi etc off bench.
Crazy?

I don't know that it would be a disaster, but it seems Dumars has learned something from the man down in the hall (Loomis) and is trying to mesh old with young and hoping it works. Saints didn't seemingly turn the corner until they decided to just go young

Trade them Queen...he was worth 2 first round picks, so that is significant

I would agree. It would be silly to get Brown and get rid of both Murray and Herb. I don’t think the Celtics would let us keep both though.
While I love Jaylen Brown and would love to have him, I think it’s stupid to do that right now with his salary and our current team. But I guess that’s b/c I don’t believe in Zion, even as a 2nd guy next to Brown.

It makes no sense whatsoever
It’s bizarre
It’s exactly the thing that Dumars would do too.
Imagine Brad Stevens vs Joe Dumars in negotiations
Brown is an albatross for BOS due to his salary and conflict with Tatum.
Trey alone is worth Bane value. Only Dumars would give up Trey and "significant draft value" for a Brown that has relatively neutral value with his salary/age.

getting Jaylen Brown would definitely help the Pels cause with the officials
good luck getting any calls with him on the team

I think the thing you ask for is what defensive center is available to be traded for.

Brown for Giannis straight up for the celts makes no sense. I have browns value higher than Giannis

While I agree that they need to add another quality center who can play big minutes to the mix, I actually think Mosely will be the best thing that happened to Missi. Mosley has a history of getting the most out his his bigs. Mosley even made Mo Bamba competent and playable when he coached him.

It almost sorta makes sense to pair Dejounte with Jaylen if that is the route you are going.
Sending him out with Trey, to pair a 30 year old huge contract Brown with Fears and Queen (and Zion) makes little to no sense.
You have to choose a path: You're either going all in on a youth movement or you are going all in on vets to try to win now.
We are, of course, trying to do some Frankenstein version of both, which of course almost never works

I'm not trading Brown to win a title, I'm doing it to develop fears and maybe Queen learns from his work ethic as well.
Brown with those guys this year would be fun as hell. Most fun team since the 49 win season at bare minimum.
The year after? They'll just be a really good team.
Bey is a huge factor in this for me.
Brown
Fears
Bey
Queen or Z if hes still here
Missi?
You'd have to figure out some bench pieces but you'd still have Bryce McGowans, Peavy, Karlo, etc.
