We have Jones and Bey off the bench, plus whatever we can turn Poole onto, and the full exception. It's a bit clunky, but it's a big physical team with defensive upside. We need to add shooters, but so does every team. I think we would grind to 40+ wins..

This is true. Brown is the exact guy you should trade for. Trey Murphy hasn't proven to be a winning player.
Now if you are trading for brown, you better be making another trade to send out poole and zion. I'm not trading for brown if zion is staying.
All this doesn't matter anyway. The Celtics aren't trading brown to the pelicans.
