How the frick do we pull that off?
Dumping Lopez and some minimum guys would do it.

I don't want to hear a word out of Evans mouth about him not willing to play 3. For that kind of money he better do whatever the frick Monty wants him to do.
I have altered our deal... You will play this season at Small Forward.
Pray I don't alter it any further!

Waiving Lopez I guess
It makes money sense.
We have about $5.5 in cap currently.
Waiving Lopez gets us another $5.1 mil.

Did someone really start another thread saying we signed him based off a tweet from a random sports blog? Wtf

We won't waive a player with value. Trade maybe.

Actually, it looks like the guy who is reporting no sign and trade is also the one reporting that the deal is $40M. Maybe that's why

We're not getting a lotto pick for Gordon.

Exactly.
And as Pelicans fans we know Gordon isn't worth that any longer, but other teams will still see his youth and potential and past production and say, "He'll be better here, he just doesn't like New Orleans."
Either way, I'm just spit balling, and there's likely too many ifs/ands and buts in it for it to be reality, but should be fun to watch it play out.

We have to dump him to make the money work, unless someone just absorbs his salary for a 2nd rounder or something.

BREAKING : Pelicans NOT interested in player LINK

4/40 would be very palatable.

Yeah or he's included in other sign and trades etc etc. Many options besides just dumping him.

You fricks are making these threads move too fast.

That was a little different, I think.
A player being malcontent with where he's being traded isn't really sufficient reason to overturn a trade, I wouldn't think.

I think his argument would be that the Pels and the other team colluded to avoid his trade veto powers and agreed to do the deal after the date.
Don't think that would work but I can see him making a stink over it.

what's the next lotto numbers oh wise one?

You say that now, you were pretty iffy about that same amount this morning. Demps leaking high numbers to make us happy with the actual number
