At this point with Gordon you're not going to get his 'talent-level' of value. They matched the offer from the Suns because they didn't want to let him walk for nothing and knew they weren't going to be competing the following year where they'd be prohibited from trading him. It's enough if you get some assets that will be useful in future trades and get his salary off the books. Contrary to some people's thinking you don't need to draft all of the cornerstones of your franchise -- you can simply buy or trade for them.

The 4/$44 number is being reported on NBA.com now, so that's what I'll believe until we hear more. LINK

Could you imagine us signing Evans just to trade him as part of a package for something epic, rivaling the Celtics/Nets trade? I mean we've done wild things so far, and we've yet to predict what Dell will do next.

Can't trade him for a while after he's signed I think.

You aren't allowed to trade guys you sign for 3 months or some date in December, whichever is longer. So you can't flip guys you just signed.

Saw someone tweet this. Did Benson just wreck the NBA labor market the owners so successfully put a lid on?

Pelicans just screwed the market. Monte, Jennings, Iguodala, JR, OJ about to get paid
