There are several very cheap options we can get there that would be an improvement over Aminu.

Plus, Evans WILL play some 3.

Gordon has a huge hole just north of his anus, so we won't keep him

Here's my spitball idea of what's going on...

You go into the draft knowing you're moving Gordon for a pick from an eventual lotto team, so the 2014 pick then becomes worth next to nothing to you, but highly valuable to others.

Draft best available asset at 6 (turned out to be Noel) ship him off for a good PG.

Turn around offer Evans a nice deal to be your 2. He can't sign until the 10th/11th or whatever anyhow, so you move Gordon to a lotto team (Charlotte) as a big FU parting gift for his general bitch-arse attitude and unwillingness to be of any value.

Now you have a load of cap space to go out and ink an affordable, solid 3, and you recoup an even better pick since your team is now likely out of the lotto and whomever is getting Gordon will be right back in it.

Meaning we have to wait a few days into the actual signing period to do it, so players could have already signed elsewhere.

May not matter depending on who our targets are. Iggy will be gone for sure but guys like Webster should still be around and if the target was someone like Deng or Granger they should still be available too.

Hopefully Sac calls Dell and says Evans, Cousins for Lopez, Gordon, GV

Cousins is seeking a max contract. What's more likely to happen: Sac gives him the max before the season or he is included in a sign and trade with the Pelicans?

I don't want to hear a word out of Evans mouth about him not willing to play 3. For that kind of money he better do whatever the frick Monty wants him to do.

This is what happened guys...Tyreke was offered more money if he plays as SF. So I'm guessing Tyreke at SF?

we get MKG from charlotte who can grow into being a solid defending SF with some decent scoring ability.

Not sure they're willing to give him up anymore, even if this helps fill one of the big holes on their team.

IMO, they trade gordon during the season and get a SF next offseason or through the trade. just sign AFA for now.

Say we keep EG, there's no way we keep GV. We can trade him for a draft pick ,any draft pick. That will free up some money so we enough to make all this work. But I think we would be done after Tyreke. Our team would be
JH
EG/TE
TE/RA
AD
RL

Gordon can veto any trade until the 15th. So we can't move him to a shithole like Charlotte until then.

Yeah, I couldn't remember the date, but that's what I'm saying.

You find your guy (it's Evans) and blow his doors off. You get him to agree to that offer sheet and you can wait until later for him to sign it.

quote:

Or have a bunch of deals in place that don't get signed until after the 15th. (and if we do that, Gordon will probably file a grievance and get the NBAPA involved).

Potential for that, and would maybe get sticky. Don't know what the odds of him getting a trade overturned are (not sure on the history of this happeneing).

Wizards met with Webster last night and said he's basically their number one priority.

They will probably resign him IF he's ok with his role there.

Dorell Wright make some sense. Bringing back AFA? I don't know.
