I think it's probably most likely that we trade back and try to pick up a future first and maybe get off of Bledsoe or Adams. We aren't getting a core piece for #10. But if we can kick the can down the road and pick up another first to use in a trade this summer, I think they'd consider it a win.

Pelicans receive: Brogdon
Pelicans send out: 2nd round and Bledsoe to Cleveland, 10th to Indy, future 1st to Indy
Pacers receives: Love, Sexton, and 10th pick, future 1st from NOLA
Pacers send out: Brogdon to New Orleans, Sabonis to Cleveland
Cavs receive: Sabonis, Bledsoe, and 2nd round pick
Cavs send out: Love and Sexton to Indy
Why do cavs do it: They dump Love and Sexton, they rebuild with Suggs or Green with Garland. They get a veteran (soon to be max) Sabonis. Bledsoe they'll just eat for salary reasons.
Why pacers do it: they're right against the luxury line and reality is that they cannot afford to just be mediocre with the core of Brogdon-Sabonis-Turner (warren too I guess). They get assets (2 1st rounders) and an up-and-coming guard in Sexton to build around. With a lot of draft capital, they can rebuild and still be good if they wanted to.
Why pelicans do it: they need a PG, they need to get rid of assets, and they acquire a player who can help them get into the playoffs now while losing only picks that they accumulated. It doesn't handcuff them and they get a malcontent out of the way.

I don't know who the Magic target at 5. I would guess that Kuminga and Barnes would both be there. They have #8 too. I think they look to jump up. Would Houston or Cleveland look to deal?

I like that gif. But it always annoys me that he’s not actually saying that.

Potential Houston Trade
10, Sign and Trade Zo, future first
for 2 and Eric Gordon- I’d probably try to reroute him lol to the Lakers for Kuzma bc I think Lebron and AD relying on lemonhead would be hilarious
Potential Cleveland Trade
Ingram
for Sexton, Love and 3
New Squad
Sexton
Green
Zion
Love
Hayes
Bench
Kira
Naw
Naji
Kuzma
Mobley
I’d also try to move Hart for Gary Trent Jr or Dunc

Eh if we got the #1 pick, he would just want to leave the team within 4 years anyways. This save us heartbreak

I was going to blame her for wearing that awful shirt but I realize that would be racist, then I was going to blame SVG for his awful rotation and player management but he is woke so that would make me racist too. I am down to blaming Trump as my only option after going through this exercise for the past hour.

If Griff somehow pulled that off, he deserves a lifetime contract. I don’t see why the Rocket do that

Yeah we might have to add some filler to that lol. I mean Houston made a pretty shitty trade for Harden and then offloaded Oladipo for nothing so they are capable of being swindled.
Remember, Lonzo hit like 10 threes against Houston one game. So they might have a high opinion of him and he was a former number 2 draft choice.

I’m just glad neither of the teams we had the tiebreaker with got the top pick.

Devin Booker was picked at #13 in the 2015 draft, and the so-called experts had many misses as far as those that were picked before him.
We might want to keep the pick, you never know.

shite trade posts are part of my healing process my fellow son. I would have so much fun as a GM making these types of trade calls to teams.
Posted on 6/22/21 at 9:07 pm to Macintosh504
That trade couldn't be done unless Houston trades whoever they took at #2 (without guidance from Pels) to Pels. Free agency is after the draft, so no sign and trades could be done pre-draft.
