Ousmane Dieng wowed the Pelicans in a private workout and is under serious consideration at No. 8, per @DraftExpress.

Ok. And?
Most insiders have him going top 12 now, and he has a promise from the Cavs at 14. So….

Well he wont go over Mathurin or Daniels according to intel Ive read, and Pels staff is split between Dieng and Sharpe if we stay at 8. That is the most likely choice we will have to make though saying Mathurin and Daniels should be gone already

I think he’ll be the pick if daniels and Mathurin are off the board. I wish they would take the swing on sharpe. I don’t see dieng reaching his potential

Again hes 6’10 19 year old playing in a very physical league. I will trust my evaluations over two guys who get paid to be wrong 50% of the time. Yes Im biased because he’s the most intriguing prospect in the draft to me, just trying to have people not freak out if we do in fact take him

I don’t see Sharpe coming close to his as of now.
Kid seems like a shithead in what limited exposure he has had.

There is more misinformation, than actual information coming out right now, so you have no idea if the Cavs promised him anything. Just like we don't know where he's actually at on our FO's big board.

And what insider info do you have to determine that about Sharpe? Point to me the video, interview, article, etc.. that made you decide Sharpe is a shithead.
Speculating on a player because of what he's done on the court is one thing, speculating on his personal life and character, is another.

Dieng at 8 is absolute dogshit if any of the other three major prospects are on the board.
I’m sorry there’s taking a swing and then there’s being stupid.

Dieng at 8 is a fireable offense imo no matter who is there.
I don't like him at all.

Yeah that's not happening..

I don’t want another player drafted to this team ever that needs their shot “fixed”. frick that, I’m tired of it

Then you won’t like Dyson Daniels. Or Jeremy Sochan.

Problem is you aren't likely to find that perfect player at 8.
If Dyson or Sochan were shooting 40% from three they would be top 5 picks.
But fixing shots is literally the one skill the Pels have in their bag above every other team and that gives us a unique advantage.
Daniels shot also looks like something that seems pretty fixable and only needs some slight adjustments to get more accuracy and stability.
If you get that one skill fixed you essentially have bigger Tyrese Haliburton or a perfect blend of Lonzo and Hart.

I'm not a big Dieng guy, but his form looks fine, too.
Good news with Dieng is that he seems to really need to develop his body and we've shown that we can do that well, too.

People miss this or something?
Seems like the largest key development on this front.
Really feels like we are probably going one of Dieng/Sochan/Daniels at 8.
With Sochan being the dark horse cause despite the pics and stuff, the buzz like the above has been minimal around him.
