That's even worse. SF is the most loaded position on our roster. We are intentional drafting someone that we know can't play major time for the next 2-3 years? People checked out on Lewis after a year. You really think we have that kind of patience?

Also, he is going to be a big. He is too slow for the wing and he is still growing..

Words I never thought I would hear about this team - “SF is our most loaded position.”

We couldn’t buy a fricking 3 for years. Guys like MoPete were starting for us in prime years.

Who gives a frick which position is the most loaded? I’m so sick of hearing that crap. You get the best player on the team to make us better. Idgaf if Zion is coming off the bench if it means we have a better player on our team.

He wouldn't be playing. How is that making us better?

Isn’t the 3 one of the most in demand positions in the league?

Having too many of those guys seems like a good problem to have for both need and ability to move players for assets.

Truthfully, this may sound crazy but if they're so intrigued with Dieng I'd prefer just to trade out of the lottery (you hear all this stuff about teams like Atlanta and Minnesota wanting to move up), collect a bit of a kings ransom whether that be players/picks/both, possibly get off Graham or Temple, and take Dalen Terry or Jalen Williams. That's good value, where I view Dieng at #8 as poor value.

Any player we draft won’t play if they aren’t good enough. Any player we draft could be better than someone on our roster. And guess what they will take their minutes. It’s not rocket science. You don’t pass up on the best SF or PG just because your 11th roster spot is the same position.

ANY player we draft is in the hope that they are better than other players on our roster and take their minutes. Who gives a frick about the position.

Trading out is too far.

I think 2-4 spots (Washington, OKC) to 10-12 is as far as I would go.

It's all dependent on what you get back, imo.

I have no idea what that looks like, and it's probably far fetched, but if it's between Johnny Davis and say you get a future pick, and Jalen Williams/Dalen Terry and you get multiple picks, maybe a nice player, maybe get off a "bad" contract, I probably pick the ladder.

That’s how you view Dieng though, you aren’t privy to their board or the boards of other FOs. So sure on paper, sounds great to move back, pick up some more assets, and still get your guy…but if Dieng is who they truly covet it’s a needless gamble because you aren’t really going to pick up anything substantial for the move up

No doubt, but I think that's what most of the conversation this afternoon has revolved around. Just how much they covet Dieng. If you're to believe the leaks, I would say the board would say they covet him too much. But who knows how true any of it truly is.

Dieng talk is all smoke so someone doesn’t trade ahead of us for Daniels.

Idk, i think portland is a real threat to take daniels if they dont trade out. Toronto too if portland trades with them, im pretty sure they worked out daniels

Someone floated that Toronto would take Duren earlier.

Don’t know how reliable that is.
