ESPN Sources: Sixers continue to canvass the league for Ben Simmons trades — armed with a steep asking price. Simmons and his agent, Klutch CEO Rich Paul, are in step with a move elsewhere. Draft night is always an ideal vehicle for a deal, but talks could continue into summer.

Still think his best option is Chicago.
They still can’t sign him outright unless they move some salary around. If it’s a smaller deal it would make more sense to match unless they are willing to send back picks, because salaries would have to match in a S&T.

The Philadelphia 76ers wanted four first-round draft picks, three pick swaps, and a young player from the Spurs in exchange for Ben Simmons, per @KevinOConnorNBA

Unless Philly comes down on that price by at least 2 1sts and swaps, Simmons will never be moved

Griff and Presti really fricked this league when it comes to moving Superstars....just a few years ago we got a top 20 player in Boogie for a first and a decent rookie.

I think it's now looking even more likely that Lonzo stays with us.
1) The potential loss of Jaxson increases the need for continuity and the need to preserve assets.
2) While it earlier appeared that the market for Lonzo would be robust, it now seems that Lonzo is not the first choice of any team in free agency. Unless a particular player is a top priority, teams are reluctant to tie up their cap space on a RFA offer while the wait to see if the other team matches, because all the other targets disappear by then.
3) A lot of the talk about Lonzo seems to be coming from talking heads who value Lonzo higher than actual teams' front offices.

quote:They can get enough space on their books by waiving their cap holds and Young. That would have them with 88 mil on their books, which I would think would be enough. Unless you think Lonzo is getting 25+ mil.

Jordan is pretty washed up isn't he?
Posted on 7/28/21 at 3:09 pm to Fun Bunch
No one should willingly help the Nets right now lol

Completely washed.
They would have to give up some value in my opinion to get off of him, and they don't have a lot of future value to give.

Screw them….make them buy him out.
The tables would be turned for a change

Ingles is decidedly better, and they'd only have to move back 8 spots to get him.

That's a good deal for LAL makes them a lot better imo

Remember when Lakers fans wanted Kuzma more than Ingram lol.
Kuzma has always been a baby back bitch.

Seems like they need to move him to get Schroeder to re-sign. They tried playing hardball, but Schroeder knows they don’t have many options.

Ingles and Kuzma have similar salaries, and the Jazz are attempting to lower their luxury tax bill and re-sign Conley.
This deal doesn’t help them too much….I would guess they would still try to get off of Bojan’s deal as well.

Clarkson really became a great player with the Jazz. Maybe they do the sae thing for Kuzma. Plus Kuzma is younger, bigger and can play PF. They don't really have a PF on the team. Potentially great move for the Jazz..

And to think there was turmoil in the locker room because Atkinson wouldn't start DeAndre's garbage self over Jarrett Allen.
