Interesting signing. They already have Payton, Augustin, and Watson on the roster to run the point

Cavs have reached a deal with free-agent forward Jeff Green, I'm told.

Realistically, he isn't wrong. At full health

1. GSW
2. SA
3. HOU
4. OKC

are guaranteed to be better

5. Minnesota
6. Denver

are likely better as well (I think the addition of Millsap makes Denver a lot better than people think)

7. Utah
8. LA Clippers
9. Portland
10. Memphis

are in the same grouping as us, whether we come out on top or not, we'll see.

So more and more I am becoming skeptical of Minnesota.

If this was 1989 I would basically hand them their tickets to the Western Conference finals, but its 2017. You have to be able to shoot. That team has really ugly spacing. It very much could become a situation of the whole being lesser then their individual parts. Like reverse synergy.

Anyways, I think you have the top 4 barring injuries(and that is very realistic with Houston)

From there I think you basically have a basket of teams that can compete for the last 4 spots and the Pels definitely have a case.

I'll point out again that the Jrue, Moore, Hill, Davis, Cousins lineup was a solid +16.4 net rating. For reference that is slightly better then the Clippers starting lineup last season. Better then the Rockets starting lineup

Its not the biggest sample size but its not little enough to completely dismiss.

There is a lot to be optimistic about even if we can't make another big move.

It's not guaranteed, but I would be happy with it. They would also be dumping either Asik or Ajinca and Qpon.

Did i miss something? What makes you say this?

If true, I say Demps should be fired immediately.

Just something that's being kicked around by us.

it's been a popular rumor thrown around since it seems apparent that our way to relevance is through trade and not FA

however... a trade for Lin would require a number of dominoes to fall beforehand

most notably... Washington matching Brooklyn's offer sheet to Porter... then Brooklyn signing Kentavius Caldwell-Pope...

then a trade for Lin would become available

What's the trade centered around on the Pelicans end?

Better not include a first for Jeremy Lin

Sports Center at 7pm reported that the Lakers are extremely interested in KCP.

think they can only throw a 1 year deal at KCP

Nets will probably throw a multi-year deal his way

DJ augustin would be a nice little cheap pickup.
Also think Lin would be perfect don't like giving up the first unless they are taking a bunch of salary am I wrong??

Lin would be a great fit, but would you frick the future of the franchise for someone who is going to be released anyway before the season starts?

Even if Brooklyn doesn't sign KCP, they are going to let go Lin before the season. It doesn't make sense for them to keep him with Russel on board

If they sign KCP, I agree that a 1st would seem to be too much to give up. They would have little use for him and I would not see any other teams beating down the door to send a 1st for him. So, the only way I would send a 1st is if Asik is attached.

Scott Kushner tweeted couple times yesterday.
He has connections within FO. IT is not debatable.

HE WAS TOLD MULTIPLE TIMES THAT PELS WONT PAY TAX UNTIL THEY WILL BE CONTENDERS.

As to complaining about 1st for Lin.You are dumping Ajinca and QPon or Asik (probably not). It has its own cost.

Ya starting to feel like we might not do anything in FA besides add some training camp guys if we can't find a trade.

For instance, Dell could just add James Young and Darrius Miller to our current contracts and call it a day. The roster would be at 15 guys.

In better news, Diallo looked like the best Sophomore player in SL yesterday so he appears to be a solid addition.

I really liked what Jalen Jones brought to the table yesterday too.
