who knows
I'd go to a team where my skills are needed but the lure of guaranteed winning is strong for most end of career players

the lure of going to GS is different than ring chasing in the past IMHO.
Ring chasing before still meant there was competition, you just had a higher chance at winning it all.
Now, its all but guaranteed and you're just there for the ride.

I'm starting to believe Dell goes to Europe to scout ex-NBA players who are balling out.
Not Euro-prospects that might turn into Giannis or Porzingis.

Dell did draft Miller originally

The New York Knicks have $35.52 MILLION (36% of the total cap) locked up on Tim Hardaway Jr. and Joakim Noah next season.

Sources with @WindhorstESPN: James Harden and Rockets are progressing toward deal on biggest contract extension in NBA history.

This will presumably be the 2nd use of the new DVPE. This time in extension form after Stephen Curry became 1st to get a new deal with it.

What player fails in the NBA, goes to Europe, plays well, and comes back home to play significant NBA minutes.
I'm gonna say not many

Harden's progressing toward adding four years onto Houston current deal, an extension that could guarantee him $228M through 2022-23 season.

A James Harden four-year extension would start in 2019-20 at a salary of $37.8M, $40.8M, $43.8M and $46.8M.

The total money amount on this extension is more than the annual GDP of the Marshall Islands.

The total value of this deal exceeds the GDP of the United States in 1792.

Would y'all rather pay Solo 12 a year or harden 37 lol?
Posted on 7/8/17 at 4:11 pm to Hester Carries
Obviously Harden but that is a lot of cheese.
Posted on 7/8/17 at 4:13 pm to Hester Carries
That's got to be the dumbest question ever.

If Jrue was paid market value Harden has to be worth at least $50m/year.
IMO, we overpaid for Jrue, but I'm admittedly not a cap expert or someone who pretends to know how much each NBA player is worth.
If Solo can improve his offensive game from being offensive (free throws notwithstanding), he won't be a terrible contract in my minimally educated opinion.
He needs to get his 3pt shooting % more in line with his career overall shooting %, and learn to finish around the rim. If he does that, he'll be at least an average starter whose offensive game won't make him a liability on that end of the floor.
